World History Research Paper

World History is class that is generally considered non-essential, at least to students. Students tend to lack focus in school and that focus can at times go out the window when they are in history classes. People in general just don't tend to view World History as highly as they view math or reading classes. Even while being a mandatory class to take for several schooling systems, World History is not nearly as funded as other subject areas are. Teaching World History can be a struggle because of this funding problem as well as other problems. There are again many difficulties with teaching World History. From all of the Oklahoma writing standards given that need to be taught within World History, the teacher also needs to be an English teacher at times. In order to see students progress, the students need to write essays that show they know the material being taught. By constructing essays, the teacher will better understand how the student thinks and determine if the student is struggling with a certain topic within World History. Also through student participation methods, such as essays, the teacher must also make sure that the students can recognize primary and secondary sources, read graphs, and draw evidence from the text by actively reading the material .
