Why Was The First Continental Congress Called The First Continental Congress?
In september 1774, some leaders from 12 different colonies met in Philadelphia, which was pennsylvania early in the American revolution. This meeting brought together delegates from most of the British colonies on North america continents and that is the reason it was called the first continental congress. Those people became the governing body of all the colonies.
The purpose of it was to help people from other colonies and the colonies themselves, some people even gave food and supplies to Boston. Another major purpose of it was to determine uphold colonial rights and helped put together things for the future of independent government, they called on each colony to begin training troops.
The first continental congress had two accomplishments.
