Why Is It Important To Take High School Classes
As a strongly opinionated teenager attending High School in the early 2000’s, I've learned not everything will go as planned. Having to take 6 classes a day, 5 days a week, school work and especially specific classes can become more and more of a hassle. If schools world wide would offer a new class to every kids' schedule i'd suggest that it would be called “ Steps of life”. The name of the class describes the content you would be learning, and these would be a lot of the things you experience growing up which the typical teenager would not be familiar with. Having this as a part of the mandatory everyday schedule would give kids a more detailed idea of the reasons abilities you take on once you become a adult. Dealing with the stressful moments as a young adult I’ve experienced plenty of dilemmas where I found it would’ve been nice to have a little extra help. To have been taught simple things such as break ups, family issues and legal trouble I feel that I could've approached these situations more maturely. Nowadays, school education is mainly focused on academics when a big part of life does not involve academics. For example, if this class went over several everyday scenarios we all eventually …show more content…
This course could involve everything such as information about buying a car, getting insurance, legal help, job searching, house buying, self defense, and also basic human health necessities everyone should be aware of. Having these skills would help any teen overcome a problem due to the fact that they had proper training on how to react. Not only would it be very helpful from just reading about these situations i'd want this course to have lots of hands on activity with applications for all sorts of real life experiences. If I was offered a class like this I feel my choices would have been smarter and I could've made it through things with more of a positive

Most teenagers would have given up here as the disappointment from both their parents and teachers would have destroyed their hopes for a successful future. However, this anguish became a catalyst for what would become a significant restructuring in both my demeanor towards schoolwork and my perspective on the future. Against all odds I was able to bounce back from the discouragement I had faced. I believe that this…

High school classes might have seemed better in the past compared to college. You might feel more comfortable in smaller classes than you would heading off to university, but that is simply from the comfort of your surroundings. You are familiar with your teachers and your closest friends are always by your side. This might create a friendlier environment, but branching away from the only things you have ever known will help you grow as an individual. Leaving home to start your life as an adult can be tough; however, learning every day responsibilities and making new relationships are two things that will benefit anyone who is getting ready to enter the “real world.” Students benefit more from college classes over high school classes because they learn responsibilities and create new relationships which help them to gain independence.…

I want to handle stress in a positive manner and not negatively. It is bad to have negative thoughts while handling stress, for it can cause bad thoughts, such as self harm and suicide. From personal experience, there was a time in which I handled the stress I had in a poor manner. Senior year, I was burdened from the stress of having to deal with my brother who was ill in the hospital, my father with an income that could not help support the family, and a mother who was not understanding of the situation we were going through and blame the entire family’s problems on me. I felt as if my world was crumbling apart and truly believed that I was the cause to the family’s problems. This stress burdened me so much I simply broke. I skipped school and cried my eyes out and let my grades in school drop. I dealt with this stress similarly to Charlie, in which I tried to avoid the problem and not tell anyone. With this, I only realized that it was not going to help the situation and it could not improve. It was not until I went to seek professional help from the school therapist to help me deal with my stress. I personally wish I could have been like Tillman, who dealt with his stress positively and head on. If I had done so, I could have improved the relationship and problems within my family…
