After doing my research on the tasks, skills, and experience needed, I really believe that my first career choice would be to become a registered pediatric nurse. The reason I want to pursue this as my career is because I’ve always loved being around children. I can see myself being successful in this career choice, because I love to help the well being of others, and I would enjoy helping children's’ well being even more. They just really contribute to my happiness, and I think I would love helping children as well. I’ve always been the type to try to help people, whether it was dealing with physical or emotional problems. I know being a nurse is much more difficult with many more different issues, but I honestly think I would love this career. I haven't had much experience, but I’m hoping to gain some.…

I hope to be a neonatal nurse. To aspire this goal, I will attend a four year college that offers pre-med opportunities as well as access to early internships. After graduation, I plan to apply to a med school in Oregon or California. The reason I plan to be a neonatal nurse has to do with the fact I want to make a change in someone's life. When I was eight years old, my baby brother was born premature due to the use of drugs. He was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for three months. He is now ten years old and has a weak immune system. My aunt, who is like a mother to me, had a checkup a week prior to her due date and found out that her baby had lost four pounds. My baby cousin is now nine months old and healthy. Seeing these kids…

According to cdc.gov, “Each year, preterm birth affects nearly 500,000 babies—that's 1 of every 8 infants born in the United States.” Nann.org states that “Neonatal nursing is a subspecialty of nursing that works with newborn infants born with a variety of problems ranging from prematurity, birth defects, infection, cardiac malformations, and surgical problems. The neonatal period is defined as the first month of life; however, these newborns are often sick for months.” Overall, neonatal nurses are very helpful when it comes to preterm babies. I know that becoming a Neonatal Nurse will take a lot of hard work; therefore, taking the recommended classes during high school and post-high school training will make it easier to infiltrate to a good…

I want to go into the pediatric nursing field for many reasons. I really enjoy working with kids especially little children. Volunteering at a saturday school with 4-5 year olds I became very good and comforting a child when sad or lonely. I work well with little children and enjoy being with them. I also want to go into nursing because every time I go to the doctors I always feel as if the nurses there do not enjoy their job. Which is probably wrong but they just always seem so monotone. I am half japanese so every summer when I go over to Japan and need to go to the doctors, the nurses there are always smiling trying to ease the tension between the child and the nurse themselves and that is the kind of nurse I want to be. I want to be a nurse like that in America to show people how much of a difference it could make and could lead to less fear of the doctors office. I see…

The academic pathway I will follow begins with an Associate in Science in the Traditional nursing program from Valencia College and I plan to graduate at the end of the fall semester in 2019. Then I plan to transfer to UCF to earn my Bachelor’s of Science in nursing in the ASN to BSN program. Graduation for BSN will be after the fall semester in 2022. After I achieve my BSN I will begin working for two years and then I will attend graduate school at the University of South Florida in the Nurse Anesthesia program in Spring of 2025 and completion will be after the spring semester of 2027. This goal is important to me because it paves the road to the future of my life. After about 20 years of school work in my entire life, all the headaches, stress, essays, and projects, that relate to school will all come to an end. Throughout the journey of academics, I will derive my motivation with mental self-questioning of “Where am I headed?” Focus is one of my strengths that keep me on my path and never let me forget my purpose. Bad habits, such as procrastination, will work against me in school. Taking the initiative by using an agenda, and putting away distractions will allow me to overcome my…
