Why I Want To Go To High School
I am a former 8th grader at the middle school and would like to tell you that i am thrilled to become a 9th grader at MHS and i can’t wait to take new heights and discover more interests throughout high school! I wanted to inform you that when I come to the high school as a freshman I will bring a positive, uplifting, and helpful presence! I am the oldest sibling in my family and i am always busy with sports, school, friends and family and helping with the community. Other qualities i hold are my management skills. I am a great problem solver like when my younger sibling are fighting or if someone is having trouble with things. I also manage my time well with sports, school, and other events and making sure i get all of my work done by setting …show more content…
I currently play softball, cheerleading, and track. I enjoy playing sports because you can connect with people, improve your health, and bring pride to my school. I was also a participant in the musical at MMS called Alice in Wonderland Jr. ( I was tall Alice!) and the 2017 Mini Thon which both were a blast! Looking into your available sports and clubs in the high school i thought that student council, the Mini Thon team, and next year’s musical were all interesting to me that i might want to join in the future. Also the girls softball team, track team are some sports i might want to join next year. With all of these extra curricular activities open to me, i will also fit in time for my school work because it is crucial to success in the future.

When i graduate high school i am planning on earning a scholarship through either my grades, sports, or the military. I have been interested in joining the military because it will pay for college, i will be serving my country, and be carrying the long line of militants in my family. In the future I want to go to Penn State college and become a physical trainer. If i persue with the career path i am setting a goal to take and succeed in all 6 years of college. I find this career interesting because i like to help people and to become a physical trainer i at least need my academic and certification program completed. Thank you for taking the time reading this letter and i appreciate the work you have done for Mechanicsburg Area School

As a student-athlete itself, I have a pretty unique high school experience. Over the past 4 years, I have learned how to manage my time better, how to get things done in a timely fashion, as well as how to efficiently multi-task. However, to even further my unique high school experience, I am also a dedicated member of the marching band (and I hold the title of Trombone section leader), concert band, jazz band, concert choir, and spring musical, all while also being dedicated to field hockey. Although these choices stressed me out to no end due to multiple practices, competitions, and games being scheduled all at the same time, I would not have given up this experience for anything. It helped me to grow as a student, as an athlete, as a musician, and most importantly, as a person.…

Today is a wonderful millstone in my life , because I decided to go back to college and continue my education. I have been through many obstacles in my life and making the decision to go back to school will give me the opportunity to prove that just because you grow up in a bad environment does not mean that you can’t succeed in life or accomplish great things. There are others reason why I went back to school as well one of them being that it will increase my finical situation, and portray a positive role model for my daughter I grew up in Compton California which is a very poverty stricken area that is infested with crime, gangs, teen pregnancy and poverty. I was raised by my grandmother who tried to instill nothing but positive things in me. She made it clear to me that school was very important and without an education you may want to go far but won’t. I studied hard and obtained a full scholar ship to UCLA but I ended up getting pregnant with my daughter and quit.…

We have tryouts and we start preparing in March and throughout the summer for competitions starting in September. If I had to pick one extracurricular activity to pursue in college, I would definitely choose club volleyball. Ever since I started playing volleyball in the 7th grade, I have been hooked. From that point on, the sport has become an invaluable part of me that has helped me grow into the person I am today. Since I joined volleyball two years after most of my peers, I was put on the “B-team.” I was determined to work as hard as I could to be placed on an advanced high school team. Thankfully, my hard work earned me a spot on a state-winning varsity roster as a freshman. We went on to win two state championships, and I personally received an All-West Region award. In this way, volleyball taught me that teamwork, dedication, and perseverance…

The reason why I'm in college is because I want a better future for myself and to show my family that I can become somebody one day. Sometimes I would say to myself like “why am I even here? This place is not the place for me “. In other words college is not for everybody because not everyone who lives with their parents who can afford for tuition for college. But for me I realize that staying alone and not doing nothing for me was the biggest mistake I ever made as young adult at the age of nineteen. Soon as I turn 20 I decided that it was time for me to do something that’s going to be right for myself which was working and going to college. The first day of me attending college was amazing meeting new people and getting to know others such as colleagues.…

High-school is not a game like middle school. Organization is key! Planners, reminders, dividers in a binder, and anything to keep a person organized helps tremendously. Having a binder full of dividers is essential; homework in one section of a binder, classwork in another section, and graded tests in another (just in-case your overall average is not up to par)! A pencil pouch to keep up with the huge amounts of mechanical pencils that will be collected in the dusty hallways of your high-school throughout the year helps a lot, especially if forgetting one is a tendency.. A book bag to keep everything enclosed and together makes for very organized freshmen!…
