Why I Want To Become A Nurse Practitioner Essay

The world I come from was shaped by a generation who believes that my generation and I have this inevitable fate of failure. Throughout the last seventeen years of my life I can't count the number of times I’ve heard that I don't and never will know what I want to do in my lifetime. The adults in my family have always had a way of including their opinion into every conversation I had with family or friends. Their opinion consisted of negativity and pointed out flaws I seemed to undoubtedly have which to them “endangered’ my future all the more. Yet I’ve come to realize that their negativity and their thought of me doesn’t decide the outcome of my future, I do. However what it has done for me is motivate me to the fullest.

One might say that
Becoming a nurse by earning my bachelors degree from a university, pursuing my career and earning a master and eventually a PhD, and becoming a nurse practitioner are the goals I have set in my head.

Nurses are the assistants to comfort and reassurance. They assist those in need of emotion and physical help. I want to be there for individuals who are facing many physical dangers and assist them in becoming healthy and strong. Strong individuals have a strong will to make the world better and I want to be one of these individuals. An individuals in this world who does nothing but spread positivity and tell young people who although may be different in many way, can succeed in their world.

Being exposed to such negativity in my world only taught me to reach for the stars, focus on aspirations, and spread the positivity I was deprived of. My world consisted of figures which I now aspire not to be but in fact be the opposite of. The way my world was deep around me ultimately opened my eyes and brain to the endless possibilities I was told I’d never reach. However I know I can become the person I aspire to be and spread the positivity I want to spread all thanks to the world the I revolved
