Why I Want To Be Free
We have been free for a very long time, but it hasn't always been like that. Ever since Christopher Columbus arrived in the new world, I have had more freedom. The slaves during this time had no freedom. They were only allowed to work and earn a small amount of money, until they were allowed freedom. Freedom is a sign of how we are Americans and why we live, where we live, and how we live. We live to be free so we can have rights. We as Americans have the right to vote, buy things we need, and choose where we need to live ever since September 3, 1783. Ever since the U.S. had signed a peace treaty with Great Britain. I live to have some freedom. Rights are a good thing so we can be free.

I live in the USA where I have lots of rights. The U.S. is a great place to live because we have education in the schools. I live in the U.S. to be free. The U.S. is one of the countries that have the best freedom. The U.S. Is a great place to live. …show more content…

    Freedom is not something that anybody can be given; Freedom is something that people take and people are as free as they want to be. Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, states, "Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." Basically, Franklin is saying that in any circumstances mankind should not forget about the most important thing in the world - freedom. Freedom is when people have the opportunity to pursue happiness without any barriers. Freedom "gives" happiness because the state of being free is aligned with our true nature.
