What It Means To Be Free
I feel that freedoms are something that need to be repeatedly won. They aren’t something that should get pushed aside in our world. In every generation, we need to win back our freedoms as a human being. Today in my life outside and in school, I have certain freedoms that I wouldn’t get in one place or the other. One of my freedoms at home is my cell phone. In my household, in order to even receive a phone, you have to be at least 13 years old. When 10:00pm comes around, I’m assumed to be in bed and off my phone. If I was to disobey my parents and go past my curfew, there would be consequences. Being on my phone past curfew would equal some sort of grounding. Grounding is something I personally don’t enjoy. Once grounded, the kids would try their hardest to approach ungrounding. …show more content…
Yes orchestra is a freedom, but there are certain requirements we have to keep stable in order to be in these classes. You have to keep your grades above an F. If you don’t keep any of your grades above this standard, you may get kicked out or have to drop the class. To stay in these classes, students might get certain tutors for help or work harder. One last freedom I receive is sports. A sport I play with my freedoms, is softball. Once you make the team, you have to practice. If you don’t practice, you won’t get much playing time on the field with your team. No playing time would cause me to be upset so I would practice at home more. Once you get better, you get more playing time with your team. In conclusion, freedoms are all around us. Freedoms have to be earned each generation. They are in everyone’s lives. At home, school, and in our communities. Freedoms are

In conclusion, people should not live without freedom, and nothing could do without it. People who have not freedom live like slaves because they forced for thing that they want to do. Freedom is something not a lot of places are fortunate to have, but luckily in America everyone has the right to freedom. What if your freedom was taken away, leaving you helpless? Sadly enough that is how many people feel, and how many people live. Sometimes you have to fight for your freedom no matter what the situation is. Two examples that show this include the texts “The Boys Who Fought” and “Holocaust Survivor Stories” show how many people during World War 2 were deprived of their freedom.…

¨America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves¨. That quote is from one of our famous presidents known by the nickname of Honest Abe. Freedom to me is to have rights as a person and a nation. The bill of rights is one of the biggest amendments to me, because it shows all of the rights we have as Americans. Some of the amendments that are in the bill of rights are under discussion today and if they go through with changing them they will be taking away our rights that we have as americans.…

Freedom is not something that anybody can be given; Freedom is something that people take and people are as free as they want to be. Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, states, "Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." Basically, Franklin is saying that in any circumstances mankind should not forget about the most important thing in the world - freedom. Freedom is when people have the opportunity to pursue happiness without any barriers. Freedom "gives" happiness because the state of being free is aligned with our true nature. The more you are aligned with your true nature, the more you are well. To simplify this, I would say if we have freedom - we have happiness; if we lose freedom we lose happiness as well. I believe people are only able to value it, as far as they can acknowledge how much it's important to them. I really love and appreciate the opportunity to be happy, that’s why I totally agree with Benjamin…

We have a lot of freedoms, like the freedom of speech, the freedom to do what we want, and the freedom the to express yourself. This is what it would be like without some of the freedoms we have today, you wouldn’t be able to believe in gods that you wanted to believe in. You also wouldn’t be able to protest against laws that you didn’t like and you wouldn’t be able to vote for the president you liked. If you didn’t like the president and you started talking about him in a bad way you would be hung or worse. Lets talk more about freedom of…
