Why I Want To Be A Recreational Therapist
1. Choose a Career
Note - refer to our lecture notes from Friday January 13th in Week 1 for a list of possible careers in the Health, Wellness, Fitness or Sport Industries.

Answer: I want to become a recreational therapist.

2. Demographics – What size of market will you be looking for work? Is it a Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 market? Explain why you chose this market size to look for work. (give 2 reasons)

Answer: I will be looking for a smaller of market. It is a Level 4 market. Level 4 market includes less than 50, 000 people. So, I can work with a small group and I can give attention to the people individually. Also rent is cheaper. So, I can afford that in staring of my business. After that I will increase

Recreational therapist should have qualities like patience, sympathy, motivational skills and kind towards patient. I think these all abilities I have. Also I like to do work in a group with different kind of people. So I can communicate with them and I can listen their problems and can give best solutions. I also like to do various activities such as dancing, crafts, singing, etc. so, I can include the patients to that activities. In this way, I can make them stress free and can relieve their anxiety and depression.

5. Research – Review this business by looking at their website. Summarize 2 things that you learned about this business that will be helpful to know for your job interview. Answer: I have reviewed the websites related to my business. Two things that I have learned about this business which includes, I should have clear idea about my strengths and weaknesses. I should have positive attitude towards the patients and better knowledge about the conditions. So, I can handle the situation and patient properly.
