Why Do I Love History?
Why do I love history?
Do you want to know why? This is because I think history is an interesting subject. Most students hate to study history. This is because they think they have to memorise a lot of facts. Actually, we don’t have to do this. If you really want to score in history subject means, you just have to really understand about what is exactly happening. If you do this means, I’m absolutely sure that you will score in history subject.
Now let’s see why I really do love this subject. History helps us to know more about our country. It makes us more conscious about why we should appreciate our country. Moreover, it has a close relation with the patriotism spirit. And it makes us love our country. History is exactly about what did happen in our country long long ago.
We also can know about how our country was formed. As for Malaysia, it has a long history which made Malaysian really proud of it. Actually, I also love history because of my textbook. My history textbook have a lot of illustrations about history and it make me to think that it is a kind of interesting.
My tuition teacher also teaches me history very good. Actually, he was the one who make me realised that history is an interesting subject. I would want to thank him using this opportunity. He would teach me short ways to remember the facts. He also would give me a lot of practise after teach me a chapter. Truly, he is the one who made me to think that history is an interesting subject. Lastly, if you are saying that “no matter what you say, I still hate history” means, you have to do a thing. You have to force yourself (I mean your brain) to love history and whenever your teacher is teaching you must concentrate. That’s it; you will score in your exam with flying colours and make your parents proud of you. Good luck.

Studying history is interesting to me because you can see the difference from other areas and eras and compare them to present day. I also love to learn about wars, why they started and how they changed the world. I don’t like how we never seem to get the full picture. Somebody’s side of the story is lost, or not told correctly. I would like it much more if we had more information about everything.…

Samarth, some students don't understand this. They believe that studying means reading over class notes that they have copied from the whiteboard over the term. In fact, the definition of 'study' that I have explained to you above involves much more than reading notes. It involves answering questions related to your subject, whether those questions come…

History books today are flooded with pointless tasks for memorization, which is just an easy fix to get students a good grade on a test, without them actually retaining the information in the chapter. Not being properly educated on past events gives the future more opportunity for mistakes, considering they will not be able to compare past and present problems in hopes to not make the same mistakes again. It is easy for students to brush off this information because it is taught in such a matter of fact sort of way, not showing any passion, just information does not make a person interested in a subject. When a student can have actual feelings regarding an event, that is when it sticks. When they can really understand what is going on, through real stories and encounters, they have a more thorough understanding of the world and are better prepared to participate in…

I have chosen to study History because I believe it is the most important and relevant subject there is. I have a desire to understand the social and economic processes that have produced modern society. History has fascinated me since early childhood, when I loved to visit museums and historical sites. As an academic subject, my love for History was triggered when I studied the Second World War as a 10 year old. I could not believe the immense impact it had on the world, and the sheer scale of it. It in turn had a huge impact on me, and consolidated my love for the subject.…

A three-hour bus ride, a modest amount of time standing in the heat and a short walk through history. Standing where the Battle of Horseshoe Bend took place, words from class float through my head as I picture the battle taking place. I can't express how much more I appreciate having been able to walk where the men and women before me made history. Regretfully, I am reminded of how little I cared for history and wished I had. Teachers would tell me that we study history because if we don't, "history will repeat itself." What a terrible sell for history! If I were to sit down with my son, future children, and leaders, I would paint a story or take them on an adventure like we did today. History is the language we all must learn to speak.…

My struggles in language arts crossed over to my studies in history. Why do I need to know dates, periods in history, and documents? In my opinion, there was nothing interesting about the American government or 17th century European wars. Although it seemed to others that I was a star student in all my subjects, most did not know how much I struggled to clench my sanity when I entered social studies classrooms.…

History is what shapes our daily lives. All the past events such as fights for justice and freedom make it possible to survive in today’s day and age. In the past many people were discriminated against because of the color of their skin while others were forced and bullied to move off of their own premises just because others had that authority. A lot of history that is learned about and recognized is because of the works and writings available for us to read. Through literature we learn a lot of untold stories.…

Although the focus of study is that of our collective past, its significance is the bearing it has on our present, on the world we live in now and the world we will live in in the future. More significantly, History greatly shapes and determines how we view the world we live in and our relationships with others. One of the greatest rewards of the study of History is the realization that truth is subjective and relative, and depends largely on contextual perspective. Historians and students of History alike critically question the historical truths that influence us today.…
