Why Did Eckels Leave The Path?
The most important event in the story occurred when Eckels was not able to shoot the dinosaur and as a result he had to return to the time machine. When he was going back to it, he deviated from the metal path and step on a butterfly. As a consequence the butterfly died. This event is extremely relevant as the death of the butterfly caused changes in the future.
2.- Why did Eckels leave the path? What were the consequences at the time, for the hunt and the hunters?
First, Eckels was not prepared to afford such as stressful situation, as he thought that it was impossible to kill the Tyrannosaurus with a rifle which seemed to be a cap gun. As a consequence, he started feeling twitchy, unconfident and alarmed. For this reason, he moved so much that the Tyrannosaurus notice his movements and came running in order to attack them. In fact, the dinosaur could have killed the other hunters. For this reason, Travist told him that he must go back to the time machine. Suddenly, He went out from the path as he felt dizzy and agitated. In addition, he shuffled off along the path and he was not aware of the situation and he did not where he was going. Afterward, Travis told him that he must take the shots from the dinosaur.

In addition, Deutscher won them. This was a catastrophe as he was a militarist, anti-Christ, anti-human and an anti-intellectual . However, in this new future, Deutscher was a sensational president and an exceptional person. In contrast, Keith was considered a foolish. In other words, the point of view of the citizens changed. Also the man behind the desk who said that if Deutscher had won the elections, they would have lived in a dictatorship, was replaced by another worker who defended Deutscher. Furthermore, the way of writing was different and he had his hearing and smell
