Why Am I Unique Analysis
Option #3

You ask me why am I unique? The Trials and tribulations I have experienced and the people that were placed in my life is what molded me to be the man I am today. Growing up in Birmingham, AL I witnessed violence, drug addiction, and even death at an early age. Coming from a under performing household that is without a father figure made living comfortably impossible. Every week me and my brothers would see the "cable man", "water man", or the "electric man" come turn off our appliances and we would also see our mother beg them to give her another week to pay. Seeing me my mom fight so hard to give us a good life but all her efforts would just fail got to me; my mom would be kind to everybody, she even sheltered people and fed people even if she had to lose a room or a bed. But Sooner or later I ended up developing a nonchalant mindset and my performance and even my appearance in school begin to fade away, I gave up on religion at this point as well. Later on in life I ended up running track to give myself a reason to go to school, not knowing how much track would change my life. While running track a run a time that most kids just now starting off wouldn't run, that time qualified me for high school nationals and my coach told me "you know you might have a future in this sport", I have never had anybody to believe in anything that I do until her. So I worked hard and ended up getting look at by schools, and I ended up signing to a D2 school called UAH, my current institution. Also later in life I met a man by the name of David Cain, who is a pastor, and he tried his hardest to get me into church and help me with the things I needed. At the time he just seem annoying but as time goes by he help me understand what it is to be a man and how great God is to this world, this is when I become a born again Christian. I became content with life and no matter what happens I remember that I have a purpose in life, somebody may need me one day so I

Most days I came home to an empty house but I learned to care for myself and I grew up, maybe before I was ready. Friends, sports, hobbies, school and work consumed most of my time. One of my best friends was a boy named Jacob, who pushed me to enroll in the most challenging classes and make the best grades possible. We were competitive, but we both wanted each other to do the best imaginable in everything. Every chance I had, I spent it with him and his family. An empty house no longer consumed my afternoons. Mid sophomore year, Jacob died in a car crash, a car that I almost got into. My world seemed over, including my grades, as if I needed him to make the marks I had before. Returning to the grades and personality that I had before seemed somewhat impossible. However, I knew there was a reason that I did not get into that car that day, I had a purpose. Life seemed to be full of gaps, yet God began to fill them. To this day, every test I take, everything I do, I imagine both Jacob and my father sitting beside me, telling me to live out my purpose, whatever it may be. My top competitor was gone, but I gained an angel that day, one who is by my side in everything I do. Although there existed a period that I struggled, I overcame…

I joined a fraternity the following year. After joining the fraternity I put even less thought into my future and I just wanted ti enjoy my college years and worry about it later on. Around the same time I was going through a rebellious teen phase at home with my mom and that proved too stressful all together. I slacked even more and, failed a class one semester. I would go to class and did just enough to get by without caring for the consequences. Well it all hit me at once my 4th year. I was already behind on credits and had to seriously think about my future. I looked at the summary of the past few years and I became extremely disappointed in myself for wasting so much time and not taking my education serious. I told myself that this is not how I wanted to live my life anymore. I took a step back during the summer vacation to reevaluate my actions and my life and try to change my priorities to get back on track. After doing a lot of thinking I changed a lot. I decided that I wanted to go back to school and get a restart on my grades and my college education but in a different major. As a consequence I would be in school for much longer but if in the end I would study what makes me happy and I would be more content…

"Don't let anyone tell you that you have to be a certain way. Be unique. Be what you feel", this was mentioned by Melissa Etheridge, a famous American signer who lives a life with cancer. Although she may look different due to the lost of her hair, she always celebrates her individuality. Melissa Etheridge and I have something in common; we're both unique in our own way. Ever since I was born, I was diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a disorder that stays with me for the rest of my life. It is my companion. I'm able to visualize the world differently than others. My imagination is beyond ordinary, and my curiosity is unlimited. I'm never afraid to challenge my teachers' ideas and take a stand for my own beliefs. Although many people view me differently, I believe that my uniqueness makes me stronger as an individual.…

People do not respond to situations in the same exact way. People who grow up in the same circumstances react in different ways. That’s what makes one unique. For example, there could be two people who grew up without money. One of those people decide to use it as motivation to succeed better in life and the other can blame the world for their problem and do nothing to better themselves. Both of them started out in the same situation but grow up with different morales.…

Everyone has something about them that makes them unique, whether it’s not wanting to step on the cracks while walking because you’re scared you may break your mothers back or not eating green things because well their gross; we all do things others might consider weird. Mine is giggling! Being the younger of two older brothers I never really got to say much, so I would sit in the stroller and just watch and giggle because they would always do silly things. As my brothers got on rides I wasn’t tall enough to get on at Disney I would wait crying because I felt excluded but after they got off the ride and walked up to me the tears stopped and the giggle started. Everyone knew my giggle growing up, my mom used to say she could…

I say that, because since then God has sent many signs telling me that He has other plans for me. Several Ministers whom I didn’t even know told me that,” God has a calling for me into ministry.” Even as I was growing up I’ve been told that I was called to be in ministry. I also read Rick Warren’s book Purpose Driven Life, and I realized that I went through the things I did because God has been preparing me for something greater. At the time of the test and trials I was going through I had no idea of God’s purpose for me, but now afterwards I realize that it’s not about me, but God, and the reaching souls. My direction in my studies now is for me to get my Masters of Ministry Degree following Undergraduate Degree, which I am scheduled to complete December of next…

My faith has enabled me to handle life challenges from my past and present. Some of these challenges have been series of events that I could hardly believe were happening, while others came with great joy. At five years old, my younger brother, Chandler, died unexpectedly. This was a tough challenge for my whole family to face. This challenge could have easily torn my family apart but together, as a team with God, we worked hard at picking up the pieces and moving forward even when there were days that seemed to be impossible. In the fifth grade, I was diagnosed with a common learning disability known as Attention Deficit Disorder. I am faced with this challenge on a daily basis. I have learned to cope with this disorder over the years by making prayer and patience priorities in helping me conquer this challenge. This challenge was especially difficult during my SAT and ACT tests. Certain scores on these tests were required to get into college and play NCAA football. The stress and pressure of taking these tests felt unbearable at times. While studying and before and during each test, I would remind myself that, through God, all things are possible. With God by my side, I was able to achieve the scores needed to reach my college and athletic goals.…
