Who Is Niccolo Machiavelli's The Prince

In the book, The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli, his main goal while writing this book was to help Lorenzo The Magnificent run his kingdom. Additionally, Machiavelli wrote about the key traits a leader should have while leading a successful kingdom. A few examples are, focus on the art of war, do whatever is necessary to succeed, and be willing to bend your morals. From reading The Prince the most indispensable trait that one can learn is that you should be honest at all times with your people. The reason why many people believe this is because the majority of civilians want a leader who can be trusted so that they don’t have to worry about him or her lying about past actions. Niccolo Machiavelli was a Renaissance writer who published one of the most famous books of all time, The Prince. His book was a key component on how future leaders should gain and stay in control of their kingdom. Some advice
The reason why some people believe that lying is okay in our government is because that's how many politicians get to where they are. Most politicians lie about promises they will fix when they get into office because it attracts more votes. For example say you're running for President and you want to gain more votes than the opposing party, some might say that you should lie by saying things like cutting taxes or stop foreign refugees from entering the country. Although you may not look into doing these things once you get to the White House, by saying these things will provide you with extra votes from people who were undecided. Though this might seem right for that period of time, people will soon figure out what’s going on and lose trust. Therefore, it is always better to be honest because more people will respect you and your kingdom will strive of the people and not just one
