When Does Life Have Value?
When Does Life Have Value? “I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. If we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?”------Mother Teresa, 1994. Its’ a travesty what our country defines as murder. I refuse to believe that a human life in our country is only worth a few hundred dollars. People that want to start families struggle with no support but the irresponsible are supported. “It is poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish” (Mother Teresa). Imagine being defenseless and helpless while literally being ripped apart. That is what an unborn child feels when a mother chooses to destroy the life within her. The tools used to conduct an abortion are truly inhumane and torturous. Some tools like the forceps is used to crush, grasp, and pull the child's body apart. Another tool such as a syringe with spinal needle is used to inject salt water in to the mothers’ uterus. The unborn baby swallows and breathes this poison and dies in a process that sometimes takes twenty four hours. The toxic saline solution causes severe burns over the unborn child’s entire body. Did you know that unborn babies have heightened sensitivities and at twenty weeks of development they actually feel pain more intensely than adults? A medical research conducted in a Minnesota University proved that the sense of touch is so acute that even a single human hair drawn across an unborn baby's palm causes the baby to make a fist. Its’ been known that surgeons entering the womb to perform corrective procedures on tiny unborn babies have seen those babies flinch, jerk and recoil from sharp objects and incisions. Our country is known to proudly serve and protect the innocent. Then why aren’t these innocent lives being protected? Instead our federal government funds abortion clinics such as Planned Parenthood. The cost of an abortion can range from four hundred dollars to a couple of thousand dollars depending on the stage of pregnancy. Not that the cost makes any difference when our government health insurance covers the cost. The research group Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI) estimated that the total annual cost of all abortions performed in the United States is around $980 million. Planned Parenthood, for example, receives about $270 million annually from government funded grants.
There are so many families and people desiring a child of their own but are not capable of conceiving. Although adoption is an option in many cases they cannot afford the cost to adopt. The average adoption cost in the United States is $40 thousand this cost is out of pocket. For those having trouble to conceive the in vitro fertilization on average is $8 thousand and the majority of the cost is out of pocket. Our government promotes abortion by funding and paying to destroy a life but make it financially impossible for families to adopt a child.

“More than a decade ago, a Supreme Court decision literally wiped off the books of fifty states statutes protecting the rights of unborn children. Abortion on demand now takes the lives of up to 1.5 million unborn children a year. Human life legislation ending this tragedy will some day pass the Congress, and you and I must never rest until it does. Unless and until it can be proven that the unborn child is not a living entity, then its right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness must be protected” (Ronald Reagan). Having experienced two miscarriages and a still birth feeling live with in me I cannot fathom the choice of ending a life. Can you tell me when does life begin to have value?

Everyday, innocent, harmless fetuses that could soon be laughing children are being brutally destroyed. One form of abortion is to cut the fetus into pieces with serrated forceps before being removed, piece by piece from the uterus by suction with a vacuum aspirator. Another form consists of bringing the fetus feet first into the birth canal, puncturing its skull with a sharp instrument and sucking out the brain tissue. The body parts, such as the head, are given letters, rather than refer to the parts as what they are. In my opinion this is for the doctors who cannot face the reality of what they are doing. The remains of the fetus or embryo, as the case may be, are put into everyday, plastic buckets and then sent to a dumpster where these precious bones and limbs are disposed. However, how and when an abortion takes place are matters of little importance to pro- abortionists and other defenders. Even former abortion practitioners from varying backgrounds and religions have a new view on abortion. These changes of heart were caused by psychological, religious and scientific reasons. One doctor, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, performed 60,000 abortions and supervised 10,000, before scientific evidence and the use of an ultrasound, convinced him he was promoting and participating what he now calls "the most atrocious holocaust in the history of the United States." Other doctors refuse to perform legal abortions, saying they should save lives rather than destroy…

There are many ways to have this procedure done. This depends on the mothers’ trimester of pregnancy. The first trimester is only within twelve weeks. The baby is still an embryo but can still be depicted as a human child. It has hands, feet, even a torso. An abortion at this point in time will usually is done by medication or a pill that u take orally. This pill has an acidic poison in it that isn’t just harmful for the baby but is also very harmful for the mother. It breaks through the embryonic sac and slowly disintegrates the baby. It can cause severe internal bleeding and abdominal pain for several hours. It also can cause vomiting and migraines. The pill is one option also there is the option of surgical vacuuming. The abortionist takes a long vacuum attached to a bag and has a long knife like object on the front of it. They will open the cervix and sever the limbs and torso and head of the baby and suction it in the bag.…

What is this world coming to? Some people truly believe it is right to kill an innocent fetus. Mothers’ who are old enough to conceive are old enough to support a baby, whether they are barely a teenager or coming to the end of their “golden years.” Regardless of the circumstance, a baby should never be aborted.…

According to statistics provided by Guttmacher institute, “there were approximately 1.05 million abortions in the United States in 2012 alone” (Abortion Counters 4). To many, that might be just a number and it does not necessarily mean anything, but lets just take some time to think about how tremendously that number actually is. The image of 1.05 million lifeless, innocent premature babies is horrific, and many do not realize how sick and wrong it is. That number is more than just a statistic but it is the amount of lives that were ended way to early. As someone who stands for pro-life, aborting a baby is not something that should be an option so easily for women. Women nor anybody else should have the authority to end a child’s life prematurely.…

Murder. Kill. Slaughter. Death. Abortion. On average, a person that has committed murder will spend 15 plus years in jail. According to www.weasalzippers.us since abortions was legalized in 1973 almost 50 million babies have been legally murdered and not one of those women has served any time in prison. Mother Teresa once said "We must not be surprised when we hear of murders, killings, of wars, or of hatred...If a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for us to kill each other?” Some points I will be discussing today are, when does life begin, the manipulation of pro-abortionists and abortion providing doctors in our society, and the inconvenience and financial burden of having a child.…

Each month, the experience of having the abortion worsens. In the first trimester, methotrexate and misoprostol or MTX, mifepristone and misoprostol, and suction aspiration are used. MTX and mifepristone and misoprostol are drug induced abortions whereas suction aspiration is a surgical method that literally vacuums out the developing fetus with a hollow tube that has a knife at the tip. This tip tears at the fetus and rips it into shreds and the vacuum sucks away the dead remains and discarded as waste. In the second trimester surgical procedures called dilation and evacuation, dilation and curettage, and induction abortion are performed. All are very cruel with no thought to what the growing fetus feels in mind. Dilation and curettage is often known as D&C is where they use a hook-shaped instrument, much like the suction aspiration to tear the child into pieces and the remains are scraped out. Dilation and evacuation is often referred to as D&E. This is where the doctor uses forceps to tear the developing child limb from limb, the spine is snapped and the skull is crushed. The dead baby is then removed from the womb and discarded like trash. Induction abortion is often called salt poisoning and is available in the second and third trimester. The doctor sticks a long needle into the womb and inserts a very strong salt solution into the…

There are hundreds of social problems in the USA today and one of the most complicated is abortion. Abortion is so complicated because it affects a woman’s body, causing it to be a very personal and emotional issue, but at the same time because it is affecting a future American citizen, it becomes a problem that America as a society has to deal with. This causes America to be split into two sides, one side claiming that it should be the woman’s choice since they think it affects the woman alone and the other side claiming that it affects society as a whole and can’t be left to the woman alone to decide. The later position would seem to be the accurate claim considering the fact that over 50 million babies have been aborted in America since…

Although less than one percent of abortions happen due to rape or incest, forty percent of unintended pregnancies end in abortion, but twenty one percent of all pregnancies end in abortions. Abortions happen for many different reasons such as inadequate finances, they are not ready for responsibility, their life may change too much, they might have problems with relationships, or they may be too young or immature, so these really need to be taken into consideration when hearing that a woman had an abortion. With that in mind, people do not understand why a woman has an abortion, but they should definitely find out the reason and understand where she is coming from. Even though some mothers have given an explanation as to why they have had the abortion, most people could say that the child never had a chance to live their life and people get scared by the process of abortion. “Your cervix (womb entrance) will be dilated (widened) to make accessing your womb easier. A tablet may be placed inside your vagina a few hours before the abortion to soften your cervix and make it easier to open. Sometimes, an alternative ‘preparing’ tablet is given by mouth. A small, plastic suction tube connected to a pump will then be inserted into your womb and used to remove the fetus,” The sound of this procedure does…

Mother Teresa, one of the most highly looked upon woman once said, “Abortion kills twice. It kills the body of the baby and it kills the conscience of the mother.” If so many people cherish this very respected woman, why do they continue to believe abortion is allowable? Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy. In 1973 the case of Roe v. Wade legalized abortion throughout the country. There have come to be two sides known as Pro-Life and Pro-Choice. Pro-Life people are against abortion and believe life begins at conception, while those who are Pro-Choice believe it is the woman’s body and they have the right to make the decision of what they want to do (Head). Although many believe abortion should be legal in the case of incest and rape, we as humans should not have the decision to decide if an unborn child gets the right to live or not. Abortion should be illegal because it is the killing of unborn children and the parents will suffer from many psychological disorders afterwards.…

Personally, I think that any form of abortion is tantamount to murder, and should never be permitted. This article only brings to my attention that women who wish to have abortions are only concerned for themselves, as the argument is based upon the health of the woman.
