What Was Built In A Car Essay
Describe what was built in Part A. Name and describe the mechanisms of each simple machine included.
In Part A, a vehicle was created. The vehicle used gears and two wheel and axles. The gears turned as the front wheels rotated. The axles ran through the width of the vehicle, and the wheels connected to the axle on either side of the vehicle. Each wheel and axle was placed at different ends of the machine, however the vehicle has a short wheel base, since the vehicle is small. The attachment resembled a weed wacker because of the rotating wheel with spokes that protrude out from underneath the wheel. The body of the vehicle used four wheels with a front wheel drive system, and included a seat for a driver and a roll over bar.
What would this type of machine be used for in the real world? What other applications could be used with the type of machine built?
The machine could be used as a riding lawn mower with a weed wacker attachment in the real world. Many lawn mowers have a similar design as the machine, however the weed wacker attachment makes the machine revolutionary and different. Other applications of the machine include a cement mixer, water turbine, and seaweed trimmer.
What is the mechanical advantage of the machine built?
The mechanical advantage of the machine built was 29.2. Each simple machine incorporated in the design added to the mechanical advantage. The fixed pulley system had an advantage of one because the pulley changed the rubber band’s direction once. The three sets of wheel and axles used each provided a 8.4 mechanical advantage. The two gear sets produced a mechanical advantage of two: one from each gear

All that is required of the person is to drop a marble into the first bucket so that everything can be triggered. In this simple machine, there are 5 different types of simple machines. Each one has different purposes. For example, the inclined planes in our machine allowed objects to roll down a slanted platform more easily than a straight platform. The wheel and axle and pulleys were used to trigger different objects. In our machine, the wedge and lever is used to hold things up. The wedge’s purpose was to allow the inclined planes to stay up in the right position. The lever was used to hold up the car; it prevented the car from continuously running down. Our machine is also very simple to run, even though when you explain it in words it sounds really complicated. This machine has many triggers to start many parts of the machine so that the machine can run smoothly. Overall, our machine was a…
