What Makes George Washington A Good Leader
George Washington was our countries greatest president. He showed this through his limitations, ideals, and his dedication to this country.

President George Washington showed that he had personal limitations, and that nobody should go past them. No third term for presidents. He knew that two terms for a President would be enough for one person. This is why he didn't take a third term, they just got out of a monaarchy, and they don't want to back to a similar government style. This two seperate term style set the perecedent for all future Presidents. Three terms would make a leader have too much power and get obsessed with the job, thus making his decisison the right call.

A persons ideals are a big influence in the type of leader that someone will be. If they have good, strong ideals; they will be a good, strong leader. This also means if they have bad, one sided ideals; they will be a weak leader. One of George Washingtons most famous lines is "I cannot tell a lie" (George Washington) which he said a lot. One of his ideals was that people should only serve upto two Presedintial terms.

As the first president of the United States, George Washington was greatly influential in shaping the government to be the one we have today. Prior to his political career, Washington began as a soldier in the French and Indian War, where he was rewarded with the rank of colonel for leading a poorly trained army of 150 men to defeat a French force and kill a French minister. my research paper is on president George Washington and why I name him as the best US president. I believe that George Washington was the best US president because of how he united the nation and lead America into war against the British and the tactics he used in the war against the British. my first reason for my opinion is the different tactics Washington used in the war with the British and how they were implemented. when Washington was in lead as the commander of the American Army he utilized guerilla warfare that was used by some of the pioneers on the frontier. George Washington set an example for the people in America, and future presidents. He is a household name for the wrong reasons. Washington being an astute observer, realized that being steadfast in the positions he expressed, the views of the time in which he lived would not allow him to achieve his goals. He realized he had to be flexible in the positions in which he took. Washington was a study in contradiction and a master of compromise. An example of this would be that he owned slaves but was for the abolition of slavery. A year before his death, in a conversation with a friend remarked “I can foresee that nothing but the rooting out of slavery can perpetuate the existence of our union.” Another example would be rather than issuing an…
