What Make People Want to Watch Movies
Different people are of different opinions about what makes a good movie. Usually, their opinions are based on the main reasons why they watch movies. From my observation, I find that some people watch movies for entertainment purpose, some others for educational purpose, and some else for a balance between both purposes.

Those who watch movies mainly for entertainment purpose think that most people watch movies because they need or want entertainment. Therefore, the most important factor which determines the quality of a movie is how much it can entertain its viewers. Sometimes, they even don’t care whether the story is logical or not as long as the movie satisfies their expectation of what entertainment is.

Those who watch movies mainly for educational purpose think that movies should serve as agents of enlightenment. Movies should give the viewers useful information or inspiration which they can follow up for their self-enhancement. Subsequently, educational factors should be the most important ones in every movie. Movies which serve only a little or even no educational purpose at all are categorized as bad movies.

In my opinion, the most important factors that contribute to good movies are entertainment and educational factors which combine in a balance. Movies should be entertaining as well as educational. Therefore, kinds of movies I consider as good movies are those so-called edutainment movies. By watching such movies, not only can I have a great time, but I can also learn something useful. In addition, I can be sure that the time and the money I spend watching movies are well spent because such movies are really worth

Over a period of time, specific audiences construct expectations of different types of media, related to either what they have been told, or perhaps what the media have exposed them to in the past. Indeed, it could be argued that the success of a film to a large degree, rests on whether or not such expectations are met, surpassed, else the audience successfully surprised. Certainly, such expectations have to be addressed by the film, if it is to be considered satisfying for the audience, and in this way, elements within the film, such as character representations, the narrative and cinematography are all important components which allow this to be achieved. Additionally, the social and political context in which the film is being viewed must be considered, as it is against this background that their expectations will have been formed.…

For this assignment, you will evaluate a movie or film (not a TV show; no concert films or documentaries; use good taste, please). The evaluation essay is kind of argumentative essay, and as such, you will argue that the movie is good, bad, a little of both, or something in between. This will tell the reader the overall value of the movie—your evaluation. While this essay is similar to the movie reviews we are accustomed to seeing on TV, in the newspaper and on the internet, our analysis will be more formal and our presentation perhaps more rigorous than the reviews found in the entertainment media. We will assume our readers are…

Films that I particularly favor are thrillers. One reason Thrillers become so enjoyable for me, a sense of diversion is created making the viewers more indulge in the movie all the way to the ending. The plots are usually twisted, climatic, suspenseful and intelligence is often use far as the writing perspective to result in an ecliptic viewing of the movie. A really great thriller will usually bring a shock factor by the climax, then the movie will receive a better understanding from the beginning to end. Another genre of films I enjoy are Musicals they are fashionable and express emotions through singing. I am really into lyricism so I enjoy comparing the actual expression of the each character's individual story and the progression…

The actors may be the most visible elements on the screen, but a number of other craftsmen had to perform a lot of other functions in order to get that finished film in front of an audience. In life, we realize that we all have different views and that is what makes our thinking different. When it comes to watching a movie; whether it is horror, action, or comedy, we tend to think of the movies differently based on the way we think of life. People do not go see a movie for the same reasons. Some go just to show off that they saw the movie that everyone was talking about over the weekend and some go see a movie just to take their girlfriend out on a date. Most of the time, we do not go see a movie because we think we are going to learn something from it. We usually go just for entertainment. We learn something from every film we watch. If one whole group of people watched the same film they will learn something different based on the social economic and environment experiences they have had.…

In order for a film to be enjoyable for me, it must have a good plot. I also value character building, although in some movies it is not as important as others. To me, a good movie should have a happy ending. I also believe that a great plot and story line is a crucial element of a good movie. The story must be believable, and I most definitely prefer true story over fiction. To know that someone actually went through the experience shown on the screen makes it more exciting. Most importantly, whether it is funny or sad, a good movie should give catharsis to the viewer when movie is over. I believe the movie “Life is beautiful” is a good movie that meets my standards.…
