What is visual aids
What is visual aids? And what does visual aids helps us with our presentation? Visual aids is the use of object or photographs to help the audience understands what you’re going to present. It helps people to find a speaker message more interesting, grasp it more easily, and retain it longer when it is presented visually as well as verbally. Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen today we are going to talk about using visual aids , let me introduce my fellow team mates this is nigell , chun chyn and lastly dino tan. These are the kinds of visual aids im going to talk about , there a 4 kinds of visual aids that is Object and models , photographs and drawings ,graphs and charts.
Bringing the object of your speeh, bringing the object of your speech to class can be an excellent way to clarify your ideas and give them dramatic impact. Here’s an example if your specific purpose is to inform your audience how to choose the right ski equipment ,’’why not bring the equipment to class to show to your listeners? The second point is don’t bring object that are too large. Why? Because some object cannot be used effectively in the classroom speeches. Because some are too big and sometimes some are too small to be seen clearly. Some object may not be available to you for example if you are speaking about a rare art in a local museum , you could probably transport to class but it is most unlikely that the museum would borrow it to you . The third point is bring a model if the object is too large or too small .
Photographs and drawings can replace object or model if you don’t have it. The most effective way to show drawings and photographs is with power point. And the are no other method of showing the photograph would work as well. Photos can help people with dyslexia , drawing allowed the speaker to translate the complex ideas into visual terms so that the audience could grasp immediately.
Graphs or charts help people understand data quickly. Whether you want to make a comparison, show a relationship , or highlight a trend, they help your audience see what you are talking about.
Example, the pie graph is best suited for illustrating simple distribution patterns. A pie graph is used to dramatize relationships among the parts of a whole ,you should keep the number of different segments in the graph as small as possible . A pie graph should have form 2 to 5 segments . If you cannot fit everything on a single chart , make a second one. The bigger mistakes made by beginners speakers are when they are using a chart they put too much information. Visual aids should be simple and uncluttered not complicated. That’s all I wanted to say thank you

There are several different ways to deliver a presentation. You can use a slideshow using software such as Microsoft PowerPoint. This allows you to display text, videos, pictures/photos, music etc. Generally a slide will consist of very short bullet points or minimal information so the audience can keep in mind what is being discussed while the presenter gives more information. Presentations can be delivered verbally as a speech, though these tend not to keep the audience’s attention all of the time especially if it is a long speech. Using a projector is another way of delivering a project. It in essence uses a speech type presentation but allows things to be shown to the audience via the projector to keep interest and attention. This method is used a lot in classrooms and during lectures. Flip charts or white boards can also be used as a means of delivering a presentation particularly during interactive sessions where feedback is required from an audience such as while brainstorming or doing a consultation.…

Lecture classes cater to the very few people who actually learn that way. Since visual learners are the most common student teachers should use more diagrams and pictures when teaching. In language classes this helps tremendously. Students could always look up what a word means but they have a hard time memorizing it. When there is a picture present the student can always think about that image and link the word to it. This could be applied to countless subjects. A very common example for visual learning is picture books for…
