The protagonist, Stargirl, has a unique personality that greatly affects her classmates when she first attends Mica HIgh School as a new student. One example of a twist was when Stargirl went from having a very different and unique personality to an average student due to bullying. Also, the author’s vivid descriptions made me feel like I was part of the story. One of the author’s best descriptions is on page 85 and is written as, “In school I was a yellow balloon, smiling and lazy, floating above the classrooms.”
