After the death of her boyfriend Aaron she is struggling to join the real world. With the push of her friends and family, she finally joins the world. This new found confidence and plan throws her in for a loop. The setting of this story is set in a tight-knit town named Oakhurst, Indiana. Where people are known for the good and bad, they have done while rumors spread quickly. The main setting for this story is Oakhurst High School. Oakhurst is a very typical high school with the clicks, and the teachers are mean, boring, and strict. Paige does not describe the high school in great detail

She builds on a setting by describing the people in detail or how Paige feels. This allows me to get a better picture of the setting without the author going into much
Her point of view is a typical teenage girl with unusual circumstances. As the reader, I would’ve like to see someone else's point of view in this story. I would want to see one of Paige’s close friends narrate the story to see what it was like in their eyes. I want to know why the author chose Paige as the narrator. One reason why I think the author might have done it this way was to see Paige’s story from her point of view instead of someone else's. I think Paige’s overall narration did have an effect on the story because it lets the reader into her story in a up close and personal
