What Is Ralph Nader´s Participatory Leadership Style?
The american activist Ralph Nader said, “The function of a leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.” Leadership style is not about good or bad, right or wrong: leadership style depends on the task, people and situation to be managed. (Huffington, 2015) As a manager, the role includes reporting, monitoring, communicating, recording, measuring, and identifying. There are many different styles of management. The autocratic style involves only the manager because employees have no real input, the participatory style -where employees can make a contribution of their own design work-, and the non-authoritarian leadership style that allows followers to set rules and make decisions.     Everyone has probably played the game "Follow the Leader" back in elementary school. It is a game where the leader stands in front of the line. He or she can say or do anything, and her followers (standing in a straight line behind her) must repeat exactly the same thing he or she does or says.
