What Is Chipotle?
These days consumers are more sensitive to issues dealing with food safety. There are many bacterias in food these days that people don't even know about. For example: in 2009 salmonella had an outbreak by A man named Stewart Parnell. He shipped peanut butter with salmonella and, there were nine deaths linked to the company's plant, which resulted in twenty eight years in prison for Parnell.
In December Chipotle was served with a subpoena. In 2011 the FDA was signed into a law. Ever since then they have been investigating on food safety. E. coli is Chipotle’s problem. Their sales went down 30% from A year earlier, according to the SEC filing.
E. coli was such a problem for chipotle it closed down 43 restaurants in Washington, and Oregon... after 22 cases were linked to the restaurants. Thankfully those restaurants have been re opened.

Roberts said, companies have been able to rebound from food safety problems from food safety problems. Taco Bell, and Jack in the box recovered from an E. coli outbreak, will Chipotle?
In my opinion I think Chipotle WILL recover from this E. coli outbreak because, many people don't care they don't think they will get sick or they think nothing like that will ever happen to them. So they just keep going to the same restaurants because it tastes good. Eventually the problem will die down and go away and then there will be a new restaurant having bigger

This lead to the concept of “Food with Integrity” , which was as a result of Steve’s decision to sell only the highest quality organic and naturally raised foods. Chipotle Mexican Grill continues to grow rapidly and in 2006 went public on the New York Stock Exchange. By 2012, Chipotle Mexican Grill had over 1400 company-owned stores taking over as the number two Mexican fast food restaurant for total sales in the US market. Today the overall business environment for Chipotle Mexican Grill is very good. The company has grown by over 50% since 2010 and is seeing increases in revenue averaging between 18% and 20% each year. Since going public the company has seen a 4000% return in their stock prices.
