4-1) What ethical, social, and political issues are raised by information systems?
The new information technology possibilities can reflect on the jointed relationship between ethical, social and political. The three components as described in the required readings as the “ripple effect model” in other words when one level impacts the influences follow towards the rest of the levels. For example, the new information technology has yet to properly develop and function with the original laws and rules. Ethical issues refer to an individual's morals of right and wrong on how the dilemma was confronted. As for the Fair Information Practices is a privacy law intend to maintain the individuals and keeper of information ensuring the information is not exposed to an alternative. As mentioned before within the ethical trends one of the largest networking systems is the internet which is difficult to control and manage from protection but the monitoring of individual’s activities. Moreover collecting and analyzing data even breaching for our personal location from just a mobile device. For most cases, individuals are fully aware of the monitoring or consent of the dangerous website releasing personal information. On the other hand, where there was informed consent for allowing the individual to feel comfortable on disclosing personal information to an extent of professionals who by regulation of the law maintain information to obtain from another company or organization. Now, your property is protected by three rights, known as trade secret. This occurs when a business discovers a products and on no circumstances the public can stealing the idea almost similar to a monopoly towards the product idea. After that, is the protection of copyright was granted so there is no replication neither expansions of ideas or goods.Lastly, a patient is a law allows for the creator behind the invention to last for a total of 20 years only if the monopoly establishes “originality, novelty and invention” as said in the MIS
