I also thought about this question, “getting to know your student?” I believe it saying ge44tting to know them outside and inside as a whole person. The teacher have to know their areas of development ages ad stages of development. They also have to know individual differences such as their gender, temperament, interests, learning styles, life experiences, culture, special needs, and second language learners. I also needs to know not only the child, but their family also. I believe that families also is a vital part of a child’s life is helping learn.
In conclusion, it is vital for the teacher to build a positive relationship and learning environment for the students for the beginning of school. I also believe that teacher should have in their mind that all children can learn, but it is our job as a teacher to reach them. In order to this you must has positive expectations for children success, and designs a safe, well-managed learning environment. When designing a nurturing environment and respectful relationships with learners and the community will uphold successful educating and children learning.

I provide a positive relationship with the child through daily routines and interactions allowing growth in in their development of self and others. Each morning I ensure that I greet each child and parent when they arrive. In greeting the child I will always address the child by his/her name and encourage the other children to say good morning.
