What Does Individuality Mean
1.)Individuality- Every person is trying to be their own person.This is a big part of our culture because that is all you hear people talk about is how you should be your own individual person. Many people are expressing individuality in the form of different colors of hair in the high schools we go to.
2.)Equality- America is the idea of equality because of the equal opportunities that every person is entitled to. People are struggling to be equally treated in the form of respect , or jobs. There is a big gap on the amount of the way that most women get paid in comparison to men.
3.) Freedom- The idea that all people have the rights do what they want just for the reason that they want to do it. This is shown in the form of the media because …show more content…
This causes education to ideally be high on the list of values in the American society. The education that we give to our children is always changing and expanding.
5.) Democracy- America tries to be democratic in every way that they can. Democracy is a big part of our culture because we form many of our decisions about the major things through votes to pass laws and much more. The best example of democracy is through the way we elect officials into office.
6.) Science and Technology- This is high on the list because of the amount of technology we use and the science that we invest in. Ideally the American society wants to focus on the technology and science we use every day. We show it through the way that we rely heavily on science, and the technology that follows.
7.) Progress- This is a high value on the list because of the way that Americans rely on the progress of all our electronic devices. We constantly want the newest and best thing to come out. We show this value through the many versions of Iphones that have came out.
8.) Activity and Work- Work and activity is high on our ideals because of the fact that we want to be moving all the time and spending our time wisely. For instance how busy every person is n the American …show more content…
This is about the end of the list because of the fact that we should not place it above everything else in our lives. For example the schools giving out grades according to how hard you worked in class is a good example of a taste of achievement and success.
10.) Humanitarianism- This ideal is important to Americans but not a major because we would enjoy everyone to be kind to each other but people are not that kind. Some examples is at school some people will say that they are sorry if they bump into you.
11.) Romantic love- This is an upcoming ideal because every person has their idea of love. Most form their ideals and will stick to them no matter what. Girls dream of their weddings from the time they are able to think about husbands.
12.) Efficiency and Proficiency- Americans want their society to place only some value efficacy and proficiency. We ideally will not sacrifice efficiency for anything. Some Families still try and set up family game nights or movie
