What do you like and what don’t you like in the system of our education?

No doubt that education plays a very important role in our life. However, having studied at the University for 3 years, my own opinion about the system of higher education in Russia has formed and I’d like to share my thoughts with you. First of all, I would like to single out the things I like. Due to the system of our Education we get thorough knowledge for our future profession which will be very useful when finding a highly paid job, as every company needs well-qualified employees. Of course, it is not a secret that today one can get a job only by means of his or her good relations with employers, but directors of many companies still demand perfect knowledge. Besides, I like that at the university we learn how to learn so that we can make use of this ability in other more practical areas later on in life. In addition, Education not only helps to cultivate skills, but also it provides mental, moral, and aesthetic development. And moreover, due to studying at university we can communicate with intelligent people who know a lot of interesting facts and who can share their ideas with me. Let’s pass over to the things I dislike. To begin with the fact that more and more specialities are becoming paid. And what is more, the prices are too high.
Thus, if a very talented and diligent student doesn’t have enough money, he just can’t study at the speciality he or she likes. And vice versa, a stupid and lazy student just pays for his education but does nothing. The second thing I dislike is that many classrooms in the university, generally speaking, need repairing. They are also badly-equipped. In my opinion, a modern classroom should contain a lot of gargets, which help students to study. It also should be well-furnished. And the third thing is our schedule. During a week our lessons begin at different time, so if a student wants somehow to practice his skills without missing the lessons, he won’t be able to do it.

In conclusion, I would like to stress that in spite of the fact that there are some things which I dislike in our education; I can say that I’m satisfied with it. When abusing the system of higher education, everybody should understand that it gives good opportunities to study, but they are nothing without diligence, efforts and trying to do one’s best.

This new system will take time, but it is for the benefit of many. Americans are merely holding themselves back in fear of being frightened of the unknown. In a thirty year span countries have completely turned their systems around for the better. The mutual education principles of Finland, Singapore, and South Korea have raised the criteria that all students need and must understand to continue their higher education. This process for reformation will not be simple, but if America sets common and high prospects for each student that resemble the abilities, awareness and knowledge needed to succeed in college, at the workplace, and as a citizen the United States system will thrive once again. For United States citizens to actually advance the residents must be willing to reach out and discover this new method of learning practiced in other countries that is statically proven to empower everyone directly and indirectly affected; if no changes are made America will only continue getting further and further behind in comparison to other…

As a student, I deeply realize the importance of education. When I was in high school, I witnessed many of my friends not able to join colleges due to their inability to raise the required fees. The amount of money generated at their respective homes was not enough to cater for their basic needs as well as tuition fees. In most schools, there are inadequate educational resources. Due to this limitation regarding resources, the classes are always crowded (Jillson 21). The ratio of teachers to students is high leading to some students not getting enough attention from the teachers. There is a need for smaller classes to improve the student-teacher ratio. This necessitates equipping the schools with the essential tools that are lacking. This can improve the grades scored by the…

University education is often thought of as just another step that one has to endure to get a decent career. The purpose of education has drastically changed from the past and it seems as though its purpose now distorts one’s outlook on their future. Students are misguided by the idea that university education is the most important aspect of their process of getting a career, that nothing else matters except for education. Indeed, education is an important aspect of life, but the reason people attend university is not for the benefit of getting a job. This shift in perspective on the purpose of education can be considered unintentional (CB p. 334) since it originates back to the olden ways of how the society functions. Before, only the elites had access to education; now, almost everyone is able to gain an education. The only difference now for people, is the level and quality of education that they can attain. Due to the greater access to education, the younger generation believes that the only way they can be successful, relatively, is through education.…

    America's Education System

After considering it, I believe that the system is fair. There are some good examples of success coming out of the American school system. However, there are also many bad examples that show how the system is failing. Many students coming out of American schools were pushed through school with passing grades just to get them ready to join the work force. These students were not actually taught anything, and so, they fail to comprehend many problems that life throws at them. One problem that the American education causes is parents’ inability to choose the school their child attends. This means that children must attend the school chosen by the government, regardless of whether the school is credible or not. Children that grow up in an environment where schools do not teach properly end up failing when it comes to their education. The fact that copious amounts of distant countries beat us in how educated students are shows how our system does not work. While there have been good attempts to assist our system, such as the No Child Left Behind Act, they fail to actually correct the problem. The American education system’s inability to correctly educate children is what makes me believe that America’s education system is only fair. To fix education in America, we need to adopt the systems of the top performing countries, such as Belgium, that work instead of relying on our old methods…

Throughout the United States, students are enrolling in colleges and universities at records numbers. This trend is occurring in spite of the hard to swallow increases in tuition and fees by institutions of higher learning. For example, attending a two-year college in 1980 would cost a low-income family 6% of their income; in 2000, the number was 12%. Those attending four-year schools in the same period spent 13% in 1980 and 25% in 2000 (Higher Education , 2012). The cause of the increase has been contributed to higher education cost, an increase in technology, and other educationally related expenses. As a result, it has become more and more difficult for those in middle and lower-income families to attend college. The persistent increases in tuition, along with government assistance targeting certain demographics and family income not keeping pace, has made it difficult for some to earn a college degree. Therefore, as America opens her classrooms in search for her next great scientist or mathematician, she systematically locks the doors of opportunity to a large portion of her population.…

The educational system today is flawed and no longer efficient. When it comes to school, is means to wake up early, 5 days out of seven for five to eight hours, then get home and do more work. But for many children, this is seen as a dull and brutal experience. As the classes are often a lot of tedious work over actual lesson plans. So it becomes mostly work over actual education. Even though many people do come out clean and educated, there are people who come out hateful and sardonic due to them being robbed of their individuality due to the constant conforming nature of the school system. Even though education is important, individuality is sometimes more important. The school system has become less of a system of education and more of a system of conformity that disintegrates and destroys the individual’s student’s independence with strict rules, expectations, and long tedious work days.…
