Gender roles are an increasing topic in society. From joining the military to walking down the street men and women everywhere have been fighting for equal rights for all genders. Before I talk about that though, I want to talk about the effect that traditional gender roles have had on society today. Throughout the years of mankind, it has been implied that the man of a relationship is in charge. This may be true for some people and that in fine and dandy, but what if your wife or daughter wants to be a politician or a lawyer.
