what animal would you like to be and why
If I were to be an animal, I would be an African Lion. The African Lion is an animal that describes my strengths and attributes perfectly and has characteristics that I would love to call my own. The African Lion has been called “the King of Beasts” for centuries, due to its majestic appearance and the fact that it is at the top of the food chain. I too would like the respect the African Lion receives and the title that it has been given.
If I were an African Lion I would be able to bake in the African sun all day, lounge around, sleep and enjoy all the beauty that the Savannah has to offer. I would be able to escape from the everyday hustle and bustle of the human world. I would not have to be worried about school, homework, tests, coming to class on time, what to wear or trying to fit into society. I would be able to roam free.
All African Lions belong to a specific pride. A pride can be defined as a family of lions. A pride sticks together and takes care of one another. To me family is very important and a necessity to succeed in life. This is a similarity that I feel I share with the African Lion.
When most of us think of a Lion, we do not automatically think of intelligence, but rather a vicious and violent man eater who leaves blood stains in its path. An African lion uses its intelligence as a secret weapon in various situations to survive in the fight for life.
African Lions are motivated, powerful, muscular, brave, and courageous. They have the willingness to fight and the ability to survive in the wild. Comparatively, sometimes I fear that I am quite different. I feel myself to be weak and fragile and to lack motivation and sometimes bravery. I would like if I shared the traits of motivation, power, strength and bravery that the African Lion displays. The bravery and respect that an African lion receives is reason enough for me to want to be an African Lion and to be a part of a pride.

    Allegory In Beowulf

In the book the Fairie Queen, although the lion has no name in the story it is still part of Spensor’s allegory. A lion is the king of the jungle; it inherently signifies natural law. Which could be vehemently ferocious when it has to, but seemingly sympathetic to Christian reality. Rendering to Christian divinity, natural law crafts and creates part of God’s celestial law. Of human nature Christian is not an antagonist, it acts in harmony and unity with it. The lion instinctively assists and protects Una. Conversely, why is it no contest for the knight Sansloy? Without the law, act, rule, or decree of God, who maneuvers outside the circumference of heavenly law? The natural law symbolized and personified in this lion holds no power nor influence above Sansloy. Sansloy is capable of manipulating and destroying the lion because he isn’t subjected to the indefinite laws of nature. Nevertheless, the lion can trounce, conquer and overwhelm the robber, who infringes and disobeys the natural law by constantly stealing, committing larceny, and indulging…

My favorite animal is the bald eagle. They have a distinctive brown body and white head and tail its hooked bill, legs and feet are yellow. In addition, they have so many amazing things about them. I admire how they soar through the air so magnificently. Their diet consists of fish, carrion, smaller birds, and rodents. They are also known to prey on large birds. Immature bald eagles do not develop their distinctive white head and tail until they are between 4 and 5 years old. The word bald comes from an old Greek word called "balde" it means “White Head.”…

Wildebeest – a fast, agile and powerful animal with strong antlers. Despite the vicious and intimidating name, the wildebeest is actually a tenacious and dynamic animal. In comparison to myself, I believe that I resemble the characteristics within a wildebeest. As stated in the novel Surviving your Serenget by Stephan Swanpoel, “The wildebeest has the mental capability to continue moving forward despite the obstacles, hardships, pain, fatigue, or stress in their path.” (Swanpoel, 2011). In spite of these attributes belonging to an animal, as a human, I consider these attributes significant to my being. I am constantly moving, to move on in my life, hoping to overcome events and face obstacles that are inevitably coming my way. These events that will make me happy, sad and even experience pain; it is something that I expect myself to encounter – just as a wildebeest would expect as well. What we bring ourselves is pain but it gives us pleasure. My mind and body is as strong as the antlers on the wildebeest, which protect themselves from any dangers. We will always be moving forward no matter the circumstances.…

The Animal Kingdom is a modern exhibit designed to follow the "natural pattern" of an African community. The most eye-popping attraction, the Kilamanjaro Safari, is an open-air, nearly barrier-free animal reserve at Florida 's Walt Disney World. It was a major shift from a cow playground to a zone of care for other wise caged animals. Here, African animals freely roam through acres of savanna, rivers, and rocky hills. The rider is advised to be aware, "You never know what could happen in the wilderness" (Tate 1).…

Rachel Carson once said “The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction”. It is not a good idea to own an exotic animal. You shouldn’t take them away from their homes and then put them into a world they don’t know. Also, they are not able to stretch their legs, because they don’t have as much space as they do in the wild. So join the cause to help animals stay in their natural habitats.…

How many of you have ever said you wanted a pet monkey when you were at the zoo last time? Or imagined how great it would be to have a tiger sleep at the foot of your bed instead of just a dog? That all sounds wonderful at first but how many people do you know that have ever had an exotic pet and not regretted it immediately? It's not really as great as you think. According to the Human Society of the United States in one of their recent surveys, "90% of exotic pets die within the first year and 90% of the remainder die in the second year. That means that only 1% lives past the age of two."…
