Over the past week, I have continued leading the media department. I have continued to stay focused on the assignments at hand and haven’t done anything short of my best. This week, I have met with several ministry leaders to gain information to put on the website. The bulk of my time has been occupied with writing articles with the help of Curry. These article will be posted on the website in the upcoming weeks. Also this week, I met with the principle of the elementary school that the church runs, Christ the Rock Academy. He wants me to redesign the schools website. I have a meeting next week with the teachers of the school to discuss layouts as well as color schemes for their website. This process will help me in future by attending meetings and learning what questions to ask potential clients to suit their needs. It also gives me insight into what companies are looking for in regards to design. Wednesday while at work, I was introduced to Mat Nykiel. He works for Smith & Nephew and he gave me great ideas about how to start off my career. Mr. Nykiel knows of several IT jobs in the area and told me how to find jobs as well as how to overcome the inexperience issue. I mentioned that I was considering going back to school. He recommended that I look into jobs that will pay for my schooling instead of creating an out of pocket expense. I’ve learned a lot about how to prepare for company meetings, as well as what various groups of people expect from a business standpoint. Over the weeks I’ve received good information to help jump-start my career as well as met new people who’ve helped in my development of becoming a better graphics

In conclusion, my goals for the upcoming week will be challenging. My students need the changes and accommodations. In literacy, my goal is to make writing fun for the students. It is sad that they view it as a chore. Encouragement is also important in literacy so that their confidence grows. I can see this when students read with me. In mathematics, my goal is to keep students on track. I plan to use some of the methods that I learned about in the Instructional Assistant Training from Thursday. My hope for next week is that the students’ passion for learning…

I have witnessed the stages of conflict in my relationships on a daily basis, especially when it comes to my sixteen year old daughter and her attitude, we often disagree. Our greatest challenge that we deal with the most is trying to manage her diabetes in public. Lately she has gained this attitude of she knows what is best for her. She wants to be independent and thinks that she does not need my guidance or opinion. Often times, this cause a power struggle between the child and the parent. In reality, she does not see a problem with her managing it alone. In the past, allowing her to self-manage her diabetes caused an increase in her A1-C. We resolved the problem by coming to a verbal agreement. I came up with a plan that would allow me to be trusting and for her to feel independent. The idea is for her to check her blood sugar levels with her testing kit and every Thursday we will get together and review the numbers. She had to agree with sitting down and discussing any changes that needs to be made without conflict. We both have agreed to meet one another half way and work together to ensure her health as a team.…

This week included much activity with meetings, rain and the storm that never happened. Monday began with a Right on Crime communications meeting. It was interesting to sit through and hear what all was going on throughout the RoC organization. Then I went back to my desk to try and finish out the TPPF communications project I had been working on since Thursday. After lunch, I was informed about another weekly meeting with RoC, the policy call was also informative and I learned about what some of our signatories are doing in their states and areas. Following that Call, I finished out the day by finishing the communications project. Tuesday started out ordinary and I was able to finally begin the reading for the Thinking Economically class. Then it was time…

Climate change; the gradual shift in weather patterns throughout the planet attributed to the use of fossil fuels used by humanity to make life more convenient and comfortable. People have been the stewards of the planet for roughly 200,000 years of which, the past 150 years would be classified as America’s peak industrialization, but this is a global issue and many nations have only recently begun their foray into industrialization, like China, India, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc.…

During our final chapter, we discussed the four stages of the learning cycle. The four stages of transformational learning are as follows: recognizing a significant problem, confronting it intensely, finding a solution, then integrating a new perspective and a new set of assumptions into ones’ life pattern. I think that a lot of times people go through life not realizing when they have a problem. Therefore, acknowledging your problem is most definitely the first step in learning from it. When you realize that there is a problem, you must confront the problem head on to find a solution. Once you have found a solution, you need to incorporate it into your life. These four stages are important in any learning experience.…

    A Imprecatory Prayers

Imprecatory psalms are prayer melodies labeled due to their precise spirited attitude towards the enemy. In the Old Testament, we find the concept of a curse given very often. The most composite curses are seen throughout the Book of Psalms, where they are considered imprecatory prayers. What does imprecatory mean? The verb imprecate stands for “praying evil against” or “to invoke curse upon another”, henceforth the name for these prayers. These scriptures tend to create numerous concerns amongst preachers and the congregation. Dominant to the issue is the obvious incitation of God’s vengeance and anger to fall upon his enemies. These Psalms prompt hatred, an honorable and upright dilemma, for many Christians disciplined in the Law of Christ. The anger and rage depicted in the Imprecatory Psalms are an integral part of every human being since the fall of Adam. This weighed against the New Testament teaching of “bless and do not curse”1 and “love…
