Belle is portrayed as an independent woman, and portrayed as smart, because of her love of books. She also rejects the macho male stereotype in the film. Sounds good right? While she rejects him, she gives her love to the Beast, who holds her captive in hope that she will love him. “Belle not only falls in love with the Beast but also tames him. She teaches him how to eat properly, control his temper, and dance. Belle becomes the model of etiquette, as she turns the narcissistic, muscle-bound tyrant into a new man, who is sensitive, caring, and loving. Belle’s transformation of the Beast implies that women are responsible for controlling male anger and violence. If a woman is only pretty and sweet enough, she can transform an abusive man into a prince – forever” (Giroux, 107). ). This is in no way socially acceptable but little girls accept this to be ok. One girl, Abigail age 9, said that if Belle was her friend, she would be happy for her because she found someone she likes, and she stays with the Beast, but also would feel bad for her for the yelling. (mmm) Another, Melina age 9, said that if she was friends with Belle she would tell her to keep being nice and sweet like you are and he will change. (mmm). In reality the children are confused at what should be going on. Belle should not have stayed with the Beast; his abuse was enough to make her leave him. This is again not only detrimental to society, but damaging to…

It's the happiest place on earth and has every attraction imaginable from rides and water parks to dining and shopping. Where am I talking about? Disney world of course! According to Walt Disney World Media Relations, Disney World is the number one vacation spot in the entire world and attracts people of all different ages and cultures. I have personally been to Disney World well over twenty times, which is not always a good thing, especially when you are being forced to go with your family and miss spring break at the beach with your friends! However, I do have to admit that even on that particular trip, which I pleaded desperately not to go on, my family and I had a wonderful time together. Disney World is a wonderful…

Crowning its city in downtown Los Angeles, the stainless steel curves of the Walt Disney Concert Hall shines in the Southern Californian sun. They shine in quick flashes that glance through characterless high-rise buildings, throwing astonishing reflections into a shady public park at the base. The building is a stunning piece of architecture, ripe for metaphoric interpretations ranging from a blooming flower to sailing ships.…

"You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world, but it requires people to make the dream a reality", Walt Disney (Pulsifer). This quote means that if you believe you can do something, you can but it takes other people to make it come true. Also, it means that if you dream about making/building something and you make it come true, the other people are the ones that truly have to believe to make it 100% real and fun. In Florida, Walt Disney is one of the main attractions that people enjoy visiting, because it fun and enjoyable. The Disney World experience is one of a kind. I know first hand, since I have gone to Disney World five times and been on five Disney cruises. Another part of the Disney experience is taking pictures with all of the characters. When I was younger, I would dress up as the princesses and take pictures with them. I will always have those pictures to look back on my fun memories.…

The dream began a Monday morning this past August. I was extremely nervous because I was about to start working for the number one television network in the country. I could not believe that my dream was finally coming true. The first thing I saw when I came trough the doors at W-ABC was a massive poster of morning television star Kelly Ripa. I cannot describe the emotion I felt at that time. It can be compared to the same emotion I had the first time I visited Disneyland. Interestingly, Walt Disney Inc owns the company I was about to start working for.…

Disney World is the most enjoyable place I have ever been. The sights and sounds are outstanding there. Every corner presents new attractions. The noise of laughing children fills the air. Music plays loudly amidst the laughter filled streets. Delicious aromas engulf my nostrils while passing restaurants. Just as a child, adults become excited when Mickey shows up. The feeling possessed while on a ride exceeds expectation. It may appear a theme park, but a magical experience would be more fitting.…

Being out in the middle of the ocean on a “magical” cruise ship is my definition of perfection. Disney World is known to be the most magical place in this world but that also holds true with the Disney Cruise Line. I have personally been on five cruises, and all have been with Disney, and I have never enjoyed myself more than being on those boats. Disney Cruise Line has a total of four ships and each have their own distinctive design, with beautiful gold swirls on the sides. Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and the Disney Fantasy were all created specifically with families in mind. There is no other cruise line I would rather be on than the Disney. Over the years, many things have changed about a cruise, but I have never had a bad experience. Each trip on a Disney cruise ship has been an…

When we think Disneyland, we think the happiest place on earth. For those who think this is an exaggeration, let me shed some light on why this place is magical for me. Disneyland to me means family traditions with a heart full of happiness and love. When you first enter Disneyland, you are overcome with a vast amount of emotions. I get a nervous feeling deep inside my gut. The excitement overwhelms me, knowing that in just a few small steps, I will see the castle at the end of Main Street. The smell of churros are in the air.
