After a short and brief anchor introduction WGN’s, Erik Runge, tells his story on the upcoming bad allergy season through a donut live shot. In his introduction live shot, Runge stumbles a bit, but then quickly recovers from it by restating the word and pretending like it never happened. Runge’s b-roll video that was shot in the same perimeter just through different angles around the same lake area in Lincoln Park was lacking and did not compliment the story well at all. Some close up b-roll on growing plants was more effective than the other videos because it represented pollen, a main cause of allergies. Runge also only followed around one allergy victim who did not have many powerful things to say beyond the obvious negative comments on…

Sound like a well managed class where teacher and student understand each other and act like comfortable with each other…
The video has a very strong opening, comparing teaching to woodworking. It says that like woodworkers begin with rough wood, teachers begin with a group of students full of problems, anxieties, and misinformation. That all can and must be corrected using procedures in all areas of the classroom. The first procedure given as an example is a way of quieting and grabbing the attention of your students. This should be done in a way that doesn’t belittle the teacher, nor requires the teacher raising their voice. Harry Wong does this by simply holding his hand in the air, or ringing a bell if the students are facing another way. Elizabeth Wong takes this a step further by saying or cueing the phrase…
In the four part video series F.A.T. City, How Difficult Can This Be? Richard D. The video that I watched was called Beyond Perfection: Female Body Dimorphic Disorder. The video featured a woman named Jennifer who strives to be perfect in her looks. It takes her about 3 hours to get ready in the morning because she never fully loves how she looks with or without make-up. So far, Jennifer has had a nose job and a procedure to slightly sand down the top layer of her skin. Though she has had these procedures, she feels like she looks disfigured. Jennifer claims that if she were beautiful, or even pretty, that her life would be perfect and she would finally be happy.…
This is a rather lengthy clip approximately 14 mins. I'd suggest skipping it to 2:30 and skip the outro. Please be warned that it contains triggering scenes e.g suicide.…
Watching these videos, I feel very sorry for Jazz. It must be very hard especially around age eleven when boys start coming into your life and you want to date. I would never guess that she is a boy, she looks nothing like one and she acts nothing like a boy. That has to be a lot of stress on Jazz and her family. Her family wants her to be happy and love herself and Jazz seems to be dealing with it well. It makes sense that Jazz is obsessed with mermaids, because mermaids have tails and not boy or girl genitals. Jazz is very strong! She has told her friends her situation and is not ashamed of it. I do not know why other kids would want to kill Jazz for being transgender, what does it make a difference for them. Jazz’s parents deal with the situation so great; it is unbelievable how strong Jazz is even though she is half boy half girl and that could cause a lot of psychological problems within her. It seems to me it does not bother her at all, and she does not need help overcoming the fact that she looks and acts like a girl, but has boy genitals. I would assume that many people with this gender identity problem could be depressed and feel like they are a reject…
I sometimes have a hard time generating Ideas for my photography. The video I chose Steven Johnson speaks about where good ideas come from. I tend to fight with myself sometimes about how I feel a photograph looks or how I should compose it.I found this video interesting since it breaks down where good ideas come from. The Having a group who shares ideas can keep your creative mind flowing.Study shows that the best ideas come from when a group of people get together and share their ideas. It seems hard to accept this as a photographer since we like to keep our ideas for ourselves. Steven talked about hoe even negative feedback can be important in order to learn. Find out what others have done wrong save yourself from making the same mistake…
Throughout the video the speaker was showing video clips of his students, I seen the compassion in his eyes about the love he has for teaching and spare knowledge with his students. The game he play with his students, shows his flexibility and his drives to motivate others. His behavior in the video display totally confidents the whole video. I seen a man who knows he has the ability to impact the lives of so many young children’s and it touches him ,in the fact sometimes he becomes teary eyed in class when his students shares their stories. Ability to recognize the impact that emotions have on one’s own behavior and the behavior of others. He takes a bow at the eyes to show that he is truly thankful for all this supporters and teachers throughout his career., His body language showed that he meant everything he was speaking one.…
This film was watched on October 4th, 2013. It is directed by Joe Wright, and the main characters are Steve Lopez (a Journalist for the LA Times) who is portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. and Nathaniel Anthony Ayres Jr. (a mentally ill homeless musician) portrayed by Jamie Foxx. This film follows Steve Lopez a journalist working for the LA times and while looking for a good story to write stubbles upon a street musician who is playing a violin with only two strings. As well as what music period it represented; what I learned from this film, and why I believe this movie was made.…
The music video Back to December by Taylor Swift uses many editing techniques to explain the story of a couple who have broken off their relationship and are visiting each other. At times the shots are longer and other times they are shorter. The shots are longer when the guy is trudging through the snow. This gives the effect that he is frustrated, confused, and is having a hard time leaving her. The shorter shots make it seem as if some parts of the video are memories. There is also the use of close up shots to show the emotion on their faces. For example, there is a close up shot of the girl (Taylor Swift) showing a tear running down her face. That shot shows that she is sad and frustrated. During their visit the girl (Taylor Swift) writes…
