FOUNDATION STUDIES PROGRAM

EXAMINATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. All examinations will be held on the 6th floor of the Coglin Street Campus in Rooms 4.01 and 4.02. All bags must be stored at the back of the room and all phones must be turned off.
2. On the day of each examination, you are to gather on the appropriate floor. Only bring what is necessary to the exam. Anyone in possession of a mobile phone during the exam will be given a zero for that subject. Phones I your bag must be turned off. If you have a watch alarm, make sure it is turned off. MP3 players, electronic dictionaries and removable calculator covers should be left at home. Use a transparent pencil case or a plastic pocket to store your exam material. Bring a bottle of water and tissues and wear flexible clothing to allow for varying temperature conditions in the exam room. Only ‘silent snacks’ are allowed. Arrive early! Allow for transport delays, etc.

3. Morning exams begin at 9.00 am and afternoon exams at 1.30pm reading time is 9.00 – 9.10 am and 1.30 – 1.40 pm enter the exam area when given permission

Students arriving more than 40 minutes late will NOT be permitted to enter the room.
Do not bring any ‘illegal possessions’ into the examination room Do not talk once you have entered the examination room

4. When you have entered the examination room and found your seat, you are not permitted to leave the room to collect materials that you may have forgotten. Wait quietly while the invigilators distribute the exam booklets. When told to do so, check there are no missing pages or questions.

5. During reading time you must not write with pencil, pen or highlighter in your script books or question booklets or use a calculator, but you may write on the scribble paper. Any responses written to examination questions on the scribble paper will not be accepted. You will need to discuss with your teachers the most profitable way
