Interoperability is a significant health link that connects directly to human services. It has the power and ability of health care systems to work together within and across organizational boundaries. These advances are effective delivery of health care for individuals and their communities. Human services provider’s goals are for clients to be able to seek treatment if needed, socialize with others, and work towards better living conditions. The clients would need to focus on themselves and have the desire to have a better living environment. They have to be able to seek assistance in time of distress and be able to find resources available to them. Human service provider’s services have to be rendered with the highest level of functioning. There should also be continuity of care within the state and between the public, and private sectors. The ranges of these services within the system must be responding to the individual need of the consumers and the populations being served. As providers…
The third and final strategy I hope to use in my learning need is work with the interprofessional team in educating nurses on the ward. Completing this final strategy will build on the interprofessional collaboration of the floor. This can be described as a way of maintaining effective teamwork in professional groups by impacting the patients, family and the health care team (Zwarentein, Goldman, and Reeves, 2009). As a future novice nurse it is important to understand the competencies related to the role I will pertain as a RN. According to the National Interprofessional Competency Framework, the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative (CIHC) speaks of, the competencies and how they benefit interprofessional collaboration (CIHC, 2010).…

The component of the U. S. health care delivery system continuum discussed in this paper will be mental health care. Mental health is how we think, feel, and act as we cope with life. It helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. Like physical health, mental health is important to every stage of life, from childhood through adulthood. Mental illnesses are common and they affect about one in five families in the United States. These disorders, depression, phobias, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and many others, are real diseases that you cannot will or wish away. They are treatable through medicines and therapy and the lives of people with mental disorders can improve.…

This paper introduces, evaluates and advocates mental health wellness along with recovery methods aided by others within the evidence-based practice called Wellness Recovery Action Planning, also known as WRAP. WRAP was introduced by Mary Ellen Copeland in 1997 and is now one of the most widely used recovery programs for those suffering from mental health issues. The paper will discuss the overall elements of WRAP and will give a better understanding of this wellness program that promotes independence in treatment, resulting in a better quality of life and a more positive future with mental health outcomes.…
The American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) was established in order to accommodate this growing population. In 1977, AMHCA held their first annual conference. During another conference held the same year, the organization held several competency-based workshops and discussed issues concerning licensure, third-party payments, how counselors should treat special populations in the settings they found themselves working within (William, 1985). The AMHCA went on to establish the “Blueprint for the Mental Health Counseling Profession” in order to provide direction in this growing field. As AMHCA continued to grow in membership, the association was able to institute certification for counselors; publications that included a newspaper and journal; and a history of strong leadership that increased the association’s visibility (William, 1985). Finally, the 1990’s ushered in a major influence amongst the many counseling associations due to mental health counselor’s unique skills and approach, overall contributions and impact on clients’ mental health and well…
