Bullying being such a hot topic throughout the states made it even more alarming when statistics were drawn,” 35 percent of the work force have fallen victim to this alarming trend’’ (Smith, 2013). Bullying and intimidation is an ineffective approach to properly running a corporation and policies should state that it is not tolerated by any means. People often fail to realize the long term effects of bullying therefore have no regard to the offense, individuals who violate the no bullying policy should be reprimanded and removed from their position to eliminate the chances of escalating within their workplace. Employers who plan to implement a policy on insubordination shouldn't try to codify every type of inappropriate possibility that can occur in the workplace (Mayhew, 2015), listing these possible types of insubordination will educate the employees on what insubordination is. When creating this policy, the employer needs to keep in mind a few subject to prevent insubordination, the employer must ensure the company adheres to their employees by having other policies in tact to respect their religion, holidays , and any other subjects that may result in an employee becoming insubordinate. Insubordination is extremely unprofessional and should be prevented and corrected properly. Just like with any situation all issues will be address according to the severity, employers must evaluate the problem and come up with a plan of correction, most of the time a simple warning can do the fix instead of major
