Unit 7 Assignment 1
The client-server configuration that I would recommend would be a server-based network. The reason I would recommend this configuration is because a server-based network enables the business to have a data center without an IT staff. The services that this server would supply would be; file management, application management, mobility, collaboration, security, and performance.

Fat client - A fat client (also called heavy, rich, or thick client) is a computer (client) in client–server architecture or networks that typically provides rich functionality independent of the central server. Originally known as just a "client" or "thick client” the name is contrasted to thin client, which describes a computer heavily dependent on a server's applications.

Thin client- A thin client (sometimes also called a lean or slim client) is a computer or a computer program which depends heavily on some other computer (its server) to fulfill its computational roles. This is different from the traditional fat client, which is a computer designed to take on these roles by itself. The specific roles assumed by the server may vary, from providing data persistence (for example, for diskless nodes) to actual information processing on the client's behalf.

Hybrid client- A hybrid client is a mixture of the above two client models. Similar to a fat client, it processes locally, but relies on the server for storing persistent data. This approach offers features from both the fat client (multimedia support, high performance) and the thin client (high manageability, flexibility). A device running the video game Diablo III is an example of hybrid

The client device is defined as the devices that demand remote computing resources from Cloud/Fog or Mist computing infrastructure. Computational resources required by the device complying with a set of restriction requirements $r = \left\{ (r_{1},r_{2},...,r_{k})\textrm{ } | \textrm{ } k \in \mathbb{N} \right\}$. As an illustration, we can show as examples of restriction requirements: minimum link speed; Run time; maximum latency and cost associated with the use of the resource.…

The evolution of the Ethernet standards will have a large effect on data storage requirements. As the speeds of these connections continue to increase, users and businesses will be able to transfer larger files faster and will required larger data storage to accommodate the increased demand of resources. Thirty years ago, when the standard was only 10MB, there was nowhere near the need for the data storage capacity as there is today, with the current standard being 100 Gbit, with 1 Tbit on the way. Data storage wasn’t as high in demand before because it would take an extremely long amount of time to transfer large files, but as the speed increases, so will the demand.…

There are many avenues that the fire service can utilize to reduce the injuries, deaths, cost and risks that fire poses to firefighters and those in the community. Among these numerous avenues that are at the fire service’s disposal, in my opinion, the most effective is the presence of fire suppression systems in homes. With that being said, I’m in support of requiring the installation of fire sprinklers in homes, for while there may be an initial financial hit, there are far more pros than cons; such as reducing injury, death and cost of fires.…
