Two Kinds Of Resolving Conflict
Every conflict will resolve but I don't believe that there's always a winner. If your positive that

there's a winner in every conflict have you thought of there being a loser too? I've looked at

both choices and I'm positive there isn't always a winner.

In most stories the conflict ends in a lose/ lose situation. When I was in kindergarten I bit a

kid in the back because he wouldn't let me crawl up the slide at recess. He started to cry and

told the teacher. I got in trouble for biting him so I didn't win. He didn't win because he got hurt

and didn't play at recess for the rest of the day. In that situation neither of us win and we both

lose. In "Two Kinds" Amy is forced to play the piano by her mother. Later she plays in a talent

show

In a conflict, each person will have their own view of the situation at hand and react differently. As the old saying says, there are two sides to every story. For example, let’s say you have a couple that gets into an argument or should I say, a conflict, about their child spilling juice on the living room carpet. The mother may view it as being a simple mistake and can easily be cleaned, whereas the father may make a big deal out of it. Obviously, both perspectives are different based on their reactions.…

Everyone got in a line, and coach told us who was going to do the PKs. She called on Damien, Dominic, Evan, Bash, and me. Damien went up to the line while the other team's goalie got ready to block it. Damien kicked the ball right at the corner of the goal and the ball went in. We all cheered loudly and then waited tensely as Damien then got ready to be goalie. The other team's kicker went up to the line and kicked it right at Damien so he blocked it easily. Next, I was up to kick. I kicked it to the bottom left corner of the goal and…

If the conflict is not resolved then you lose the ability to work along with that person. As a human beings, we have fights with each other; it’s the same for chimps! Chimpanzees fight, but they make it up by showing each other love and respect. (Neeraj D. 2015, September 3“What you can learn about teamwork from these animal traits”) In Lord of the Flies, the boys argue with each other over needing a signal fire or a fort. (Golding 108) The boys have many conflicts in the book some being more important and devastating than others. Something to remember is that conflict does not only affect those arguing but the people around you also. If the conflict on the island had been resolved Piggy would have never died and the kids would not have been scared of each…

“There is some good in the worst of us, and some bad in the best of us. When we discover this, we become less prone to hating our enemies” once deliberated Martin Luther King jr, a key figure in the American Civil rights movement, and a man that constantly strived for equality in racial-fuelled disputes, a key aspect of that being understanding when to and when not to engage in such dissension. His teaching can be instilled into the majority of conflicts faced in day-to-day life, and how crucial the choice can be when deciding whether or not to interfere. Many people adopt the ‘avoid conflict at all costs’ stance, removing themselves from any discord no matter how large the consequences may be. Admirable as it may be to some, to completely avoid confronting conflict without first evaluating the seriousness of it is simply cowardice, and a complete disregard for the ingrained ethical code branded into humans. Some disputes are so significant, perhaps proving to be seminal for the development of history that neglecting involvement in them could be detrimental for, depending on the scale, mankind or as narrow as personal failure.…

Conflict can arise when vulnerable people are faced with challenging circumstances or are put into a different environment. The destructive and inevitable nature of conflict may cause the decline of individuals and communities who cannot cope with the different beliefs, ideas and knowledge in society. True colours are seen in both the individual and communities when difficult situations arise, and in a way, they are seen as a test in separating the weak from the strong, and the vulnerable from the powerful. How people deal with the initial outbreak of conflict reflects their own behaviour, beliefs, morality, and experiences. In most circumstances, people’s opinions, and beliefs will be different and although having opposing views is a part of everyday life, the conflicts that arise are seen to be a destructive force on our lives today. Throughout all of history, conflict has never ended quite the way people want it to. Conflict can indeed be positive but if the differences that resulted in conflict are not resolved, it can be a very destructive. The ongoing war in Afghanistan and the Cronulla riots are all evidence of the destructive nature of conflict and how evident it is in our lives.…

The first game of the intramural season had hype behind it because part of the lacrosse team was playing another team full of lacrosse players. We started our warm ups more organized then I thought, when we did lay up lines and practiced pull up jump shots. One thing you should know about me and basketball is I take it extremely seriously. In fact in all sports I’m an intense competitor. The game started off pretty slow, because both teams weren’t shooting very well. We were down 5 to 2 when I hit a 3 pointer to tie the game 5 to 5. The game was intense, due to my lacrosse teammate Kyle Coats had his shooting sleeve on and was laying the ball up like it was no ones business. My team responded to every punch though and with the time running out in the…
