Have you ever wanted to rule a kingdom with your true love? In The Selection, by Kiera Class, a girl named America get picked to try to win over the Prince's heart with over 15 other woman. The protagonist named America is a strong, independant, and kind hearted. American makes a little friend group in the castle. Her friends were named Lucy, Marlee, and Anne But she also meet people who were really rude like Celeste and her friends. The prince’s name was Maxon. This book is a Fantasy. It takes place in Illea, Carolina in a big castle. America is staying in a castle with other woman and trying to win trying to win Prince Maxon’s heart over. In the quote above it shows how America loves just talking to Maxon and how sweet he is and the other girls probably just pretend to love him for his money. “ I smiled, happy at how easily he understood me. “ Yes. I want to know if there’s a possibility for us to be an is.” He moved a lock of hair behind my shoulder. “ I think the odds are very high,” he said matter-of-factly. “ I think so, too. Just… time, okay?” He nodded, looking happier” ( Class, 6 ). America now is trying to win him over be just being herself because half of the other girl are acting fake. He already likes her more than a lot of the other girl. America is just sweeter, acts herself, and isn’t shy. Everyone wants to find true love it’s just finding it is the problem. I rate this book a 9 because reading the first book just makes me want to read the rest of the books. I wouldn’t change the ending because the book ending in a beautiful way and it was meant to happen. I recommend this book to 7-11th graders because there are some parts of the ook that or not

Having now finished the story, i would like to say that my overall impression about the book hasn't changed much, it was still a dry and boring book with a plot line that didn't seem to climax much at all but instead had a steady pace with a litte bump here or there. Many will say that they hated the end of the book but I think the book was ended like that with a certain purpose in mind, to make us think what was this book about and why did it end like this?…

I really enjoyed reading this book and feel that it is the best book to read. This is my favorite book I have ever read and after reading this I really liked the movie. I would give this story a 10/10 because it was a great story about a group of kids surviving on their own and trying to fit into their town. My favorite part was when they got into that big fight at the end. I liked this because they did it for Johnny plus they kicked the crap out of the Soc’s. I found this funny because they beat them up when the Soc’s thought they were going to win, but also a way to show love for Johnny because they did it for him and wanted to win for…

I didn’t personally like the book I thought it wasn’t very exciting. Maybe if the book was more exciting or had more twist or turns it would be more enjoyable. It did change my attitude about boys being smarter than girls but even when Calpurnia was talk all science to her brother he had no idea what she was talking about. I probably would not recommend this book unless you're more into having the same idea throughout the whole…

I give this book about a 8 out of 10. I give it an 8 because I feel like it is to detailed in some parts. Also, The book gets longer and longer it feels like towards the end. There is a lot a excitement in the beginning but to be honest I lost interest towards the end of the book. Overall I liked this book more than most books I have read, But it was definitely not my…

If I were to change anything in the book I would have changed the ending. When it ended right in the middle of action I was very mad. I really wanted to know what happened next and just wanted to just continue on with the book. The story did end the way I expected. At the end it ended with a huge cliff hanger. So far there hasn’t been another book and it has been 5 years since it came out. The story didn’t end the way I expected. I thought the ending would have ended with Zach fighting the Bad and destroying their organization. Instead the book ends with Zach saving Senator Kerrigan's life, and Mr. Herbert taking one of the bullets and dying. I can relate to being a student athlete. Zach is a very smart and does well in school, and is a very good athlete who a variety of sports at his…

It had humor, real life events, sadness, and suspense. I would most definitely recommend this novel to someone because although it’s very long, you won’t want to stop reading it. This book will make you wonder, cry, even laugh. It’s a book that I think had great meaning and was put together very well. In my opinion, there is no flaws about this book except how long it is.…

As far as a critique for this book goes, I cannot say much that I would change. While the story was at times slow, that is to be expected with a narrative that describes real life accounts. I personally did not enjoy the book as much as I thought I would, the reason for this is because I am not a fan of the style…

The movie “American Beauty” literally is trying to express how much beauty there is in America but it is not always so easy to see. Often in the film objects normally thought of as ordinary are magnified to express deeper meaning and show what beauty really exists in the world. The color red, for instance, is an ordinary color but it shows its face numerous times throughout the movie. The color is not just ordinary it is significant, as it represents love, passion, and happiness. Though, the color red is actually representing the absence of those aspects in Lester and Carolyn’s marriage. In the scene I choose to analyze, Lester and Carolyn almost reach that red in their lives again for a moment, then suddenly it turns to grey and the answer to the disappearance of their passion for one another is exposed.…

If I were to grade this book, I would give it an A++ because this is a very good book and shows that humans have the will to push through any obstacle. Even though they have gone through all of that God did not give them a break and show them mercy. Despite their hard troubles, they pushed through all the sadness and despair and turned it around to help other people not make the same mistakes as them.…
