Truck Comparison Essay
Automobiles are like people. There are tons of them, and yet only a few ever enter our lives. With this in mind I comprised a comparison of the three top trucks on the market. The Toyota Tacoma, the GMC Sierra 1500, and the Ford F-150. These three trucks are considered smaller full size trucks. Now there are quite a few ways to compare trucks. However I chose the most used, or necessary traits needed in a truck. For all who do not know anything about automobiles I will be going over each trait, and why they matter before giving the ranking of first to last place. The easiest was for someone to judge anything is by the price. It is the part that directly requires your action. That being said it requires the least amount of explaining. Looking at only the price the Toyota Tacoma is the winner by about 2,000 dollars. The interiors on the stock models are around the same quality, but the Tacoma is notably more compact than the other two models in this chart. This impacts a few other features that will be talked about later. The next trait is horsepower. This is the amount of work that can be done by the engine. 1 horsepower equals 746 Watts of power a second. In laymen terms this is …show more content…
Throughout this comparison each truck has been examined in each of the ten traits. The Tacoma is cheaper, and will give better off road handling, the Sierra is best on paved roads, and tows anything with ease, finally the F-150 is in the middle of almost every issue. This middle ground is what makes a good truck. The ability to load it down to move to a new home. Then that weekend drive up in the mountains for a great hike. A jack of all trades is the best use for a truck. There are always exceptions such as someone who wants to go mudding a lot should get the Tacoma. On the other hand someone who tows items for a job would want the Sierra. For the average person who wants the work only a truck can provide along with the fun of adventure should seriously consider the

Quite a few car manufacturers have created models similar to this mid-sized truck but still the Chevrolet Colorado LTZ with Z71 suspension and four-wheel drive is the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to smaller trucks. Many individuals say the truck is almost worthless when it comes to being an actual “pick-up” truck. Some say the cab and/or the truck bed is too small, others will tell you that the 3.7 liter engine is just plain silly when it comes to torque and horsepower. Then again, there are people out there that will tell you that all of those things can be put to great use and that just because the truck is small does not mean it is at all worthless.…

Ford and Chevy are as American as apple pie. However, as any car fanatic knows. They are as big of rivals as the North and the South used to be. Two rival models of Ford and Chevy, in particular, is the Ford Mustang Shelby GT and the Chevy ZL1 Camaro. The Chevy Camaro and Ford Mustang are quintessential American pony cars and as such, continue to fight the war over which sport utility vehicle is the best in performance. I recently became interested in cars and the whole racing aspects of them because my best friend races once in a while. He is extremely knowledgeable and interested in cars and can tell which car is the best. Becoming a huge car fanatic like him, I have to “pick a side” and decide which car I would go with the Mustang or the Camaro. The two features that I would take in to consideration in deciding which car is better than the other one is the performance that it has to offer and the style that it resembles.…

Both Dodge and Ford are very competitive heavy duty trucks because Dodge and Ford are known for their durability. In their performance both Dodge Ram 2500 and the ford F-250 are true sport cars. While handling each heavy duty truck each has similar-sized engines, with a slight advantage to the Dodge. Dodge Ram 2500 is not much more powerful than the Ford due to the fact that the Ford has more torque than the Dodge. The torque is the force that lets you accelerate quickly. Ford F-250 has a more massive trunk that will accommodate more massive things than the Dodge Ram 2500. Neither Dodge Ram 2500 nor the Ford F-250 has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity. Between the Dodge ram2500 and the ford f-250 there is no clear winner when it comes to hauling capacity. Towing is significantly more the Dodge Ram 2500’s forte than it is the F-250’s.…

A tow truck (also called a wrecker, a breakdown truck, recovery vehicle or a breakdown lorry) is a truck used to move disabled, improperly parked, or otherwise indisposed motor vehicles. This may involve recovering a vehicle damaged in an accident, returning one to a drivable surface in a mishap or inclement weather, or towing or transporting one via flatbed to a repair shop or other location. This facilitates smoother traffic and saves the time. Tow trucks are usually operated by private businesses, except for major highways and toll roads, where the road authority may operate the tow trucks for that stretch of road. Some police departments own tow trucks, but in the US it is common to contract police tows to private companies. Businesses…
