The benefits of treating the alcoholics are immeasurable in terms of cost to the alcoholics, family and the society some of which are enumerated below;
1. Successful treatment of alcoholic will mean that the alcoholic can reunite with his family and move on to become an integral part of the society.
2. A successful treatment may mean that the alcoholics can return to work and maintain a stable life and contribute to the economy of the nation by earning income, pay tax and National Insurance contribution. 3. There will be less pressure of the hospital and the cost of medical care, considering the fact that most alcoholics would develop a major physical
