Transformers Essay
Transformers is a popular movie that makes you think about how technology and robots could one day overrule or over power humans and take over earth. The image that I have chosen is a movie poster of the movie transformers which has two robots face to face that have human like features or the same build that are both at war with eachother. The poster is also trying to explain the story of how both robots are from another planet by placing them above earth looking down on humans. The idea of robots, technology and war is shown through colour and body language.
The theme I am discussing is the future with robots over ruling. In the poster they are using robots to symbolise robotics and machines which seems to make it futuristic because nowadays we tend to have a lot of technology at hand to help us with our daily lives. The theme of the future quite often appears in cartoons, books, radio etc. The idea of robots or machines taking over is shown through symbols such as the colour of the evil robots eyes show and describing fear.
The theme is war shown through colours which means how the war is represented between both robots by the colour they are an example of this visual technique used in the poster is how they used blue and red on the good robot for contrast and made the bad robots eyes an evil bright orange light and his body coloured a dull grey and black. The example shows the idea or theme by making 2 sides using colour.
A fear of machines taking over from humans is shown in the poster by making the transformers/robots have an almost human like face for example they put the nose on a robot were a nose on a human would go and the same with eyes and mouth. The robots are made with human like features just makes it more scary if they were to decide to turn on us because they could over power us at any time. The example shows the idea by making robots stronger, faster and simply better than humans the robots could do our jobs much quicker without getting tired or

While both parties did have an oral agreement they did not have a contract in place. In the case scenario they also agreed to have Chou memorialize their agreement. In the original negotiating contract it stated that a distribution agreement or contract must be in writing. Although Chou received an email from a BTT manager he assumed that BTT wanted to draft the agreement. Chou waited too long to follow up with BTT and exceeded the 90 day time frame.…

The theme is the brutality of war. When the college friends were discussing about the war they’re about to take part in, Kropp said “Two years of shells and bombs a man won’t peel it off as easy as a sock” (Remarque 87). This shows the brutality of the war because it describes the effect the war puts on people is not easy to forget and for many, it’s permanent. As the friends were taking turns discussing war, Albert explained his view saying “The war has ruined us for everything” (Remarque 87). This shows brutality of war as well because it shows how broad the effect war is on people’s life. The theme of this book makes it a good book because its outcomes relates to the wars going on around the world right now. And it has important message/lesson on life in the front in the Great War, instead of just viewing the honor/patriotic part of the war it mainly focused on a very important part; fear and pressure. Thus the theme of this book is the brutality of war because of the characters description of the life at the front.…

As technology has grown immensely in the past century, we have seen the rise of many movies surrounding this topic. Movies ranging from family friendly flicks about the bond between a fighting machine and boy while others explore the science behind technological advances in educational films. However, the large majority seem to highlight the morbid possibility of what could happen when technology turns against us. These examples are found all throughout the media, but are dramatized to a whole new degree on movie posters. In my case, I am specifically referencing both the 2001: a space odyssey poster as well as the recently released Ex Machina poster. Both posters are meant to pitch the idea of where technology is going to be taking us. Yet, in the 2001: space odyssey the message is lacking and bordering on tangent to the movie in comparison to Ex Machina. On one side we see a poster about an epic adventure through space, but is conveyed in a poor way that takes away from the enjoyment of a topic such as space. Whereas on the other hand, we have the Ex Machina poster conveying a dark and eerie feeling that sells the movie exactly for what it is. Though Ex Machina is a clear winner here, to truly understand such rationale we must deeply analyze the visual rhetoric in both posters.…

The main colours in the visual are orange, red, and black. These colours suggest emotions and mystery. The colour red suggests anger and rage, which is possibly felt by the main character at one point in the novel, and the colour black can create a sense of mystery. By just the colours, we can know that there is going to be mystery, anger and rage revealed in the novel. The distinction between the light and the dark gives a sense of mystery and foreboding.…

The mouse is the symbol for purity while the bush is freedom and protection, but also of death, of the innocence that cannot survive or must be sacrificed. The birds that fly free in the sky also feed on the bodies of dead soldiers. The bland colors used on the poster symbolizes the element of earth which represents both the cold and dry traits on the front the war was fought on and is associated with the melancholic or depressed trait seen in people. The pistol robert carries symbolizes authority and security, protection from what may harm him. The fire in the war is a symbol both of passion and…

Explanation: This is a Contrast Contradiction because these robots were made and programmed to protect the human race and to provide a stepping-stone for the Humans. Modern day humans had been killed by killer robots and people donated their embryos to freeze and program robots to care of these until Killer Robots were gone and then Bring the Human Race back to life after they had instigated the Robots to go rogue and instead, were trained to be nicer.…

In addition, a famous fiction movie called “EX Machina” tells a terrifying story that a scientist is killed by a human-like robot produced by himself, while his original intention to design such a machine is just simply assisting him with housework. When the robots have more mature artificial intelligent which is exactly what people desire, it is rational to assume that they can acquire the incentive to offend, even hurt their masters just like what people do to each other. Although it is a science-fiction movie, the thoughts behind its story definitely deserve the public careful concern. The dangerous and limitation of robots are still available so that we should use them as prudently as…

A theme is a unifying or dominant idea and clearly portrayed in this novella a few obvious themes may include defiance, rebellion, fear of the unknown and fear of death. This passage more so focuses on the theme of defiance; as they claimed "We light cigarettes against orders..". There is a higher authority that has set rules for the soldiers. This idea of the 2 soldiers disobeying the rules is a very easily targeted example of rebellion or a rebellious act. As well as the soldier spoke of not falling asleep on sentry duty and when he noticed the second soldier Fry falling…

After examining and exploring the poster in depth, it becomes apparent that the color scheme plays an important role in assigning the role of the victim and of the enemy. The Japanese soldier has very dark skin whereas the American girl being threatened and possibly raped has fair skin. The dark versus light contrast always seems to symbolize the struggle between evil and good. The technique in which the creator of the poster uses in juxtaposing the dark skin of the Japanese soldier with the light skin of the American girl fully achieves his intended purpose. Further inspection reveals another dark versus light contrast. The…

Another way the author shows this appalling theme is through the use of characters. As the soldiers talk, you can see their mood and personalities; ironically this reflects how war has affected their minds and personal lifes. As the story develops you can see how the characters' life changes and how their thought of fear develops inside them. The soldiers manage to get use to the war environment, but they became more cold and less emotional. This ironic aspect expresses violence and death because after a solder has been to war, their whole aspect of life changes.…

Good versus evil is inevitable and as bystanders we almost always want to watch the "good guys" win. We choose our sides from what we've seen or heard and use our judgment to determine who is good or evil and who we wish to see conquer the other. The feature film Transformers, directed by Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg in 2007 is a science fiction, action film that copes with the aspects of good and evil through the Autobots and humans who fight for survival and power against the devious Decepticons . The film presents the Autobots to me as respectful and virtuous characters that believe in harmony and peace. The Autobots ally themselves with the humans of Earth, more specifically the U.S.A military along with everyday teenagers Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Bane and these characters are represented as heroic and just. On the other hand the Decepticons are symbolic of terrorist groups that have attempted to assault the United States of America in past times ,therefore are the embodiment of evil in the film. The obvious difference between the good and evil characters allows me to easily identify who I should look positively on and who I believe should be defeated.…
