Traditional and Renewable Sources of Energy
TRADITIONAL ENERGY SOURCES SIDE BY SIDE RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES: WHICH ONE IS MORE LIKELY TO WIN THE BATTLE WITHIN THE FOLLOWING DECADES?

Assuming that the energy is a vital asset for the human being, it's really hard to answer this question, because both of them have advantages and disadvantages.

When I read for the first time this question I immediately thought that renewable energy sources would win, but then I realize that it can't, because this kind of energy is not able to generate all the energy that we need.

Having said that I don't mean that the traditional energy sources could win, because, as I said first, it has disadvantages, such as pollution and the fact that the sources are exhaustible.

I think we should consider them together with their advantages and disadvantages.

The traditional energy sources, although they are exhaustible sources, they are present in huge quantity in the world and they can generate all the energy that we need. Instead, renewable sources are inexhaustible, but, as I wrote before, they can't generate all the energy we need. Both of them need a big place where can be installed. As a result, both have a considerable impact on the environment. Others disadvantages for the renewable energy sources are that sometimes these resources are not available and the cost for this energy technology is more expensive than the other.

After summarizing very briefly the advantages and disadvantages of the two types of energy sources, I can conclude that traditional and renewable energy sources can't separate, they will continue to co-exist if we want to generate energy.

The main problem is how the human being uses the energy. Unfortunately, in some countries, people don't know the right value attributed to energy use. Doing so they consume more energy than what they need. People don't realize that with small steps daily they can help save energy and save money, too!

I think that every government have to invest money

Availability of fossil fuels is a considerable factor when dealing with various energy sources. Coal is non-renewable and it is estimated that at least 40% of the world’s electricity comes from coal, and in 2005 Coal power produced 49.7% of the United State’s electricity supply. The consumption of coal is expected to increase 71% between 2004 and 2030, highly motivated by developing countries that use coal to generate about 75% of their power. There are limited stocks of coal remaining, they will be entirely depleted this millennium if we continue to burn coal in the future at the same rate we are today. Solar energy, on the other hand requires the use of the sun which is renewable and will potentially never run out regardless of how much it is used. Therefore, solar energy seems to be the better choice.…

Energy is an important part of our everyday lives. Energy can come in many different types, and forms it can be used for many different purposes. Energy has many different usages and can be converted from one form of usage to another form of usage depending on what the need is. One form of energy conversion is the use of food to supply people's bodies with energy. Another form of energy is how coal is converted into electricity. Fuel is another form of energy that can be used for many different usages as well. Fuel is used for much different reason such as allowing our cars to function and our lawnmowers to cut grass. There are many different reasons why people use energy in the many different ways that we use it. Even though people rely on energy usage, some of the forms of energy we use are very harmful to the environment and even dangerous to ourselves. The harmful and dangerous fuels that we use can be changed to alternative methods of energy usage. There are two different types of alternative energy, which is known as renewable energy. Renewable energy is very resourceful and is able to be used because it is all around us there will not be a shortage of material and it is safer on every living thing and being. Energy and fuel usage just like everything else in the world has its advantages and disadvantages about using it. We must collectivity figure out which source of energy is right for everyone but for now we will find out which is best to use in your…

Renewable energy is often not efficient and powerful enough compared to traditional power sources; the disadvantage present in energy systems such as solar and wind fail to win the energy revolution against the oil-based economy. The damage to the environment is a threat to life on Earth and we can no longer afford to be spectators. Given…

Civilizations require energy to prosper. Humans harnessed energy from the sun to cultivate crops and live in one place, allowing settlements to come to be. Without the need for everybody to hunt and contribute, people could specialize in other skills such as science and art. New technologies were created to work for humans, facilitate living and further reduce the need for human labour. Without the expense of human energy, there is the requirement of other energies to power human creations. Humanity has utilized various energy sources over the course of their existence. Many of these energy sources have assorted shortcomings such as being costly, destructive in some way to the environment or limiting in supply. Now, a relatively new energy source has been discovered that may spearhead the…

My position on this issue was originally renewable energy is beneficial for our environment. I believed this because I thought that using the fossil fuels was ruining our environment. Burning fossil fuels emits harmful gases. The use of coal, oil, and natural gas are causing problems with the earth’s o-zone layer and has caused the green-house effect and the fossil fuel supplies are depleting. I thought that using solar powered energy, geothermal energy, hydro-powered energy, wind-powered energy, hydrogen- powered energy, and biomass energy would bring about a green environment and help to save the earth in the end. Also renewable energy does not run out, and creates little or no pollution.…

The third category is renewable energy. Renewable energy includes solar energy, wind power, hydroelectric power, geothermal, biomass, and biofuels. Solar energy comes from sun; wind power obviously comes from wind; hydroelectric power comes from water; geothermal energy comes from heat; biomass fuels come from wood, straw, waste created by animals and humans, and numerous byproducts. As it is, renewable energy can be replenished naturally, and therefore it seems better than fossil fuels and nuclear energy in this perspective. In 2014, all forms of renewable energy together accounted for 13 percent of U.S. primary energy consumption. It is estimated that the use of renewable energy will increase to 25 percent by 2025, 30 percent by 2035, and…

Renewable energy is a microeconomics situation, it’s thriving for different type of business, and it’s becoming a substantial topic in the United States. Renewable energy is any energy that its source is naturally replenished, which is solar, wind, geothermal or hydroelectric action. There’s another type of source called fossil fuel which is coal, oil, or gas there are nonrenewable source. Fossil fuels provide energy at a lower cost than renewable energy, but fossil fuel is the largest source of carbon dioxide which allows radiative forcing and contributes for global warming and the fear that it can all run out.…

Old energy, that which comes from fossil fuels and other nonrenewable resources, is now outdated. The costs are becoming tremendous and despite their reliability in the past cannot be depended upon for consistency or reliability. Contemporarily, efficiency is most important; getting the most out of everything we use. Most official energy forecasts assume massive growth rates in energy demand (Anderson). Renewables won 't succeed unless we do efficiency first and in parallel (Anderson). Procuring new means of preserving energy has come a long way; new pathways are being explored, and new forms of containment and preservation are being researched. Green, renewable energy when adopted by businesses will lower operational costs, free up capital, please shareholders, and most of all promote private use.…
