FOCUS TITLE : Tourism industry as the economic generator INTRODUCTION :
Malaysia is a beautiful tropical tourist destination in Asia which is the potential not only to attract international tourists but also offer local people. Tourism had become a wise investment that will drive the growth of related industries, all the other acts as a vehicle in the development of mega Malaysia to developed countries in this century. This essay examine the efforts boosted the tourism industry and reveals how the tourism industry can generate economic. BACKGROUND PARAGRAPH :

Tourism is a major service industry thriving and bring in big profits in the form of foreign exchange and propel Malaysia to the world. In 2000, a total of 10.2 million tourists (including domestic tourists) visit to Malaysia which produces revenue of RM20 billion, including the RM17 billion from foreign exchange (The Star, June 9, 2001). The figures exceeded the estimated 6.4 million tourists expected to visit Malaysia. Malaysia is the third most populous country to receive tourists in East Asia - after China and Hong Kong. What should be done to maintain the good performance of the tourism industry which is registering a significant increase influx of the tourists to Malaysia. How to maintain this best performance? What should be done to attract more foreign tourists to choose Malaysia as their holiday destination choices? BODY PARAGRAPH :

Potential of the tourism industry as a generator of new economy can only be realized if the country's efforts to promote and develop the tourism industry are given due emphasis. Issues such as eco tourism, environment, visa, airport facilities, cleanliness of environment, transport and travel security, all contribute positively and negatively to the number of tourists visiting Malaysia.
