(PAGE 3 and 4)
Our tour held at Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, our guide discuss to us the rules and regulations of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Taking photos during the tour is not allowed, loitering, and noise are just some of the reminders that our tour guide told us. As we continue the tour I saw different portrait on the wall, and our tour guide said something about those portraits. Some of the portraits are the New generation money, etc. Our first area that we visited was the Passport Production Area. Were I didn’t expect that Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas also makes certificates and passports. SHEET INSPECTION AREA was our second destinations were we saw many BSP staffs inspect lots of sheets of money. We also went to SIMULTAN AREA were paper money were being cut into its proper shape and size and next to the INTAGLIO AREA, were different security codes are printed in paper money. We also visited to the NUMBERING AREA were the letters and numbers were being design in the money so that it can also be a feature of money. The last area in making paper money was the FINISHING AREA were finalization of the paper money was conducted. After we finished our tour in the areas of making the paper money, we went next to the areas of making the coins. We just passed by to the GOLD REFINERY DISPLAY ROOM were the gold’s are being kept. As we continue walking we arrive to the MELTING/CASTING AREA were gold’s are being melt for the purpose of making Philippine coins. But when we were in that area, we just saw only the machines, no staffs working. Simply no work, because of lack of gold’s. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas had no reserved gold because mining troops doesn’t want to sell gold’s for the BSP for the rate of the tax increases. We go to STAMPING AREA. Our tour in the areas of making coins ended at the BAGGING AREA of the Philippine coins. After having the tour, we purchased souvenirs from the BSP shop. We visited

It is said that central banks redesign banknotes every 10 years. This is to prevent counterfeiters to produce exact copies of the current banknotes. But our former currency series has been in place for almost 25 years. That is why the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas decided to change our banknotes. It was December 6, 2010 when the new banknotes became available. All six of our banknotes have new designs but have the same size and color as the former currency series.…

As President Benigno S. Aquino III assured that Philippines will remain conducive to business, the country’s economic strides haven’t escaped notice, noting the Philippines is now rated investment grade for the first time in history by three major credit rating agencies. The economy grew by a remarkable 7.8 percent in addition to countless other indicators of economic growth. As companies continue to reap the benefits of the Philippine economic revival, he expects the companies to also share the fruits of their hard works not only through philanthropic activities but also by setting the good example as citizens who fulfill their obligations. However, the pork barrel scam happening in the Philippines because of unscrupulous politicians, a.k.a. public servants, who instead of servicing the needs and aspirations of the people are working for their own selfish ambitions, sadly, this puts doubt now the much touted slogan of PNoy calling for a “tuwid na daan” or the straight path in his governance as militant groups have filed plunder complaints against Aquino, members of his Cabinet and businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles before the Office of the Ombudsman. Unfazed about the accusation and even daring the opposition to go ahead and file impeachment charges against, Aquino painted even a gloomier picture when he recently revealed that it was worst during Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s administration.Referring to Arroyo’s administration, during his speech before the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals,…
