The Murder on Madison Avenue

I was walking home from school on a cold wintry day. It was just three days from Christmas. As I was walking home I took a shortcut on to Madison Avenue. Little did I know what was to happen to me next. It wasn’t until I was five houses away from my home did I realize there was a suspicious car following me. I acted normal as if I didn’t notice anything. It was when I was three houses away from home did I start running. But it was too late. Within five seconds I felt a sharp pain in the back of my body and then I felt no more. I could hear the voice of a women calling for help, but I knew it was too late. I was going to die. What happen next was weird. I remember waking up in the hospital but instead of being me, I was in a room filled with babies. It’s hard to explain, but I must have reincarnated into this newborn baby. And that was the last time I remember being Jessica, The twelve year old girl that was shot and died. Now I am Evelan, a thirteen year old mute girl, attending eighth grade at New York Middle School, home of the pumas. My only friend is Amy, a psychic twelve year old girl that attends seventh grade at New York Middle School. As I was walking to school with my friend Amy, I suddenly had a seizure. During the seizure, I saw a little boy shivering in fear. There was a gun pointed to his head. He said something but I couldn’t hear him but I knew what he had said. He had said help me. When I awoke, my head was covered in sweat. I thought, “How long was my seizure?” Amy read my thought and answered, “About two minutes.” “That long?” I thought. She answered, “Yup.” “Did you get to see the vision?” “Yes. Did you notice the hand that was holding the gun? It had the same gold ring that Mr. John had.” “Really?” “Yes. And also. That boy has gone missing for a long time now. I see his face on milk cartons and newspapers all the time.” “ You’re right. I’ve seen his

March,27,1999, a serial killer is on the loose in New York City, NY. The first victim they killed was 20 year old Tonald Drump, by being strangled to death. Detective Pepperoni was sent to find who made the crime. Tonald was targeted and harassed by many people for using testimonial evidence on people in the court for things they didn't do. Tonald did not help or be nice to any people besides his family, and he had a bad personality trait of being rude, selfish, and lying, so it makes sense why people would want to kill him. Detective Pepperoni found some evidence from Tomald, it wasn't much only carpet fibers and shoeprints leading to a small town in Time Square. 3 days later another victim, 25 year old Anita Pea was killed by being stabbed in the arm twice and bleeding out the Medical Examiner stated. Anita Pea was a very…

S: This essay is in the form of a New York Times article from March 27, 1964 where an assailant, Winston Moseley; 29, stabbed Catherine “Kitty” Genovese, 28, three times within a thirty-five minute period early one morning. The brutal murder was seen by at least thirty-eight people in a heavily populated neighborhood, yet none of these witnesses called the police until Ms. Genovese had already died around 3:50am. When asked why they didn’t call the police earlier, none of the witnesses could come up with a definitive answer. The most frequent response was; “I didn’t want to get involved.” This case confused police due to the high level of apathy to violence, an attitude that has become more prevalent in American culture as time has passed.…

My heart is a mixture of hope and hopelessness, all around me is despair and misery and yet if I give up I perish. Every where I go I have to hold on to my emotions. Wherever I walk I see mutilated bodies and to think, that person could have had a life, makes you brake inside. But you have to stay strong, I got used to them, it becomes just a part of my nature. It was around midnight on Friday when I was walking down the street. Tired and concern about the time I was walking fast to the bus stop in one of the most impoverished areas of the town. Just when the darkest street approached I saw a man standing by the side as if he was waiting for me to come. My heart started to beat faster and faster as I was walking towards him and my hands were suddenly sweating, I tried to focus myself on the light at the end of the street and walk by him discreetly but my fear was so obvious that I couldn’t help but run and hold my purse tight to my chest. The words mugging, raped and even death were crossing in my mind as replacing the lack of air in my lungs. While I was running to be “safe”, I decided to make sure that he “the mugger” was not following me but he was! That made the situation even worse. When I finally got to the bus stop I saw him menacingly close, I couldn’t breathe nor take one more step then I thought to myself, this is it! I’m done, he will kill me. But to my surprise he was just running to see if I was fine and asked if someone was following me to hurt me.…
