CHAPTER 1
THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
A. INTTRODUCTION
Health is a level of functional or metabolic efficiency of a living organism. In humans, it is the general condition of mind and body that is being free from illness or pain (physical or mental). In order to have a good health you need to become a healthy living person. By eating healthy foods (e.g: fruits and vegetables), resting 8 hours a day and exercising. Exercise is also essential to our life because its an activity intended for physical and mental health. It can avoid having any kind of illness. One common kind of this is an Aerobics. Aerobics is form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic exercise with stretching and strength training routines. It’s main goal is to avoid mental and physical illness.

Best example of an aerobics is the “Zumba”. It is a dance fitness program that involves aerobics element created not only for dance session but also for strengthening body condition. It was originated in mid 1990’s, a choreographer named Alberto “Beto” Perez created this consisting of non - traditional Salsa and merenguemusic. He forgot his tape of Aerobics music thats why he came up for an improvised music. Those are the non – traditional music he used not the typical music he always used. He earned success for this experiment in Colombia and United States in 2001. Zumba also categorize in different types of classes for different levels of age. Those different types of classes consists of different the participants. These are the 7 types of reaserch Zumba classes; Zumba Gold for the older ones (for tone and strengthen glutes and legs), Zumba Toning for people who do their workouts with toning sticks, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Kids, Zumba Gold- Toning and Zumba Sentau, a workout that focuses on using body weight to strengthen it. Lastly, it is made for building strength, to improve their posture, socialize, depression,brain health,diabetes,burn calories and fats,cardio vascular health and to become
