Chapter I
Introduction
A. Background of the study
Technology influences human existence by bringing new risks as well as improvements to our lives. To try to minimize the likelihood of unwanted side effects of a new technology, humans will employ risk analysis. You can use the resources found here to help you understand how technology influences human existence by examining the benefits and risks of different biotechnological advances. In the existence of the technology and its advantages, the world has been greatly affected by it and it pursuantly affects the lives of the people as it continuously advances and the easiness of people's life. Then the youth, more specifically the teenagers, are the most affected.
I believe the advancement of technology has negatively impacted our social interactions because it detaches us from what is happening around us, obstructs communication, and spreads the concept of instant gratification. Society must be able to utilize technology while not allowing it to impede social interactions, particularly for those who are easily influenced during our formative years. Our world must learn to embrace technology without allowing it to negatively impact the creation of functional adults in society.

Technology is the reason for us not communicating with each other as much as we should be. It's important to communicate in a way where we understand each other very clearly. When using our devices, we are stuck in our own little worlds unless we choose not to. But many prefer being alone rather than talking with friends or family and communicating. Lack of content between us is changing many people. They are less likely to share any problems going on in their lives. Due to isolation, many kids, or anyone in general, may have the need to feel isolated as well and won't fit in with others. This leads to depressiom and many other things that ca be worse. Many of us today are highly uneducated. We rely on technology to give us many answers instead of learning the proper way, like we should have. We have all seen or experienced several changes of behavior due to technology in our society. This change isn't exactly a positive change, though. This leads to poor living habits. For example, lack of social skills. We lose the ability to read body language and understand things. But, many are becoming more violent due to the media. Technology over the years have improved in drastic ways over the centuries and are getting more involved in our daily lives some in good ways but some are bad. Technology has cut off the way humans interact and speak distracting them from doing basic things like talking, cutting off any social interactions hiding behind a screen. People stop talking to their families, when they do talk they feel very uncomfortable and out of place. Ray Bradbury shows examples of technology getting in the way in his book Fahrenheit 451. In my belief technology is degrading our society socially. Personal experience when I started using technology more and more, I became less socially active and engrossed using the internet and played more videos and staying inside. Before coming to America and exposed to more technology I was socially active and willing to go outside, play with friends and exploring the forest behind my house in the Philippines. I was an extrovert until the end of seventh grade. I started becoming more introverted because I discovered video games and social media. During my high school career, I was introverted until I was involved with sports. I joined wrestling and swimming I became more extroverted and hang out with friends and explore more of town and school. I was open to more exploration, I became social with my peers and meet interesting characters. In the essay Growing Up Tethered, written by…
