The Witches Baby: The Legend Of The Skeleton Story
Skeleton Story
One night a group of 4 teenage girls had a sleepover and did something unforgettable, they did the normal stuff of what every group of friends do: they had a bonfire, ate some s'mores, and told scary stories. But they later got bored and decided to check out something completely random; they surfed the internet for dark magic and urban legends and came across “The Witches’ Baby”. The girls were interested and clicked on the link that brought them to a website that was dark and had skulls all over it. One of the girls was a little freaked out and told the other girls that we should get off, it doesn’t feel right. The other girls laughed and picked on her calling her a wimp and a scaredy cat, they clicked on a tap that said black

Finally building up the courage to open it they slowly picked up the box top but didn’t look into the box yet. One of the girls asked “Do you guys think what I think it is?” One of the other girls responded “If you think it is a baby then yes.” The four girls then looked at each other with a look or fear on their faces scared to actually look to see what’s inside the box. After another 5 minutes one or the girls built up the courage to look inside the box, and she saw a baby boy lying there and his chest seemed to barely be moving up and down. She then said to her friends in a panicked whispered voice “It’s a baby boy he looks like he is barely breathing! What do we do!” All the other girls looked into the box to see if she was lying…..she wasn’t. Another girl responded “we have to help it otherwise it will die!” The third girl then said “We can’t help it ourselves we would need our parents help and how are we supposed to explain to them that out of nowhere a baby boy showed up in a shoe box in the attic?! We can’t we have to go now before it is too late and we get caught up here with this baby!” The fourth girl then responded “But it will die if we don’t help it! We can’t just let a baby die when we know we can save it!” The third girl then responded back “Yes we can and we will, we are not going to get in trouble to save something that probably won’t make it anyway! And besides it's probably evil if you think about how it got here!” After she says this they seem to go quiet, it had sounded like the world had just stopped. They were all looking around at each other trying to figure out what each of them were thinking. None of them wanted to be the one that was different and disagreed on what they did, they all wanted to do what the

The book going over in this essay is called Witches! by Rosalyn Schanzer, and is a book about the events that have taken place in the town of Salem. This is a very weird and mysterious subject because so many people died in a very strange and concerning manner. First of which is “attention” this could be a factor in this crisis because some people could have accused people just to get attention from the people around them and be in the center of activity. Second is people just doing it for fun or “sport” if they're bored they could enjoy people being killed or harassed in jail. The last and most probably biggest one, is revenge, people could have hated another and wanted them dead and realizing this was a very efficient and good way to do it or at least get them arrested. The accusations in the Salem Witch Trials were motivated by attention, sport, and revenge.…

Grief is a process that every individual deals with in different ways. While many variations of handling grief exist, no wrong or right method prevails. Unfortunately problems arise when a person’s approach to coping with the loss of a loved one greatly affects other members of their family. Such is the case in Alice Sebold’s The Lovely Bones. Susie Salmon’s parents, Jack and Abigail, find it nearly impossible to deal with the loss of their teenage daughter. As evidence proving that Susie has been murdered continues to mount, Abigail holds on to a small shred of hope through the words “[n]othing is ever certain” (Sebold 20), while Jack is determined to find Susie’s killer. During this time, Lindsey Salmon, Susie’s sister, is forced to work through her grief on her own. In situations involving both her family and her peers, as well as herself, Lindsey Salmon indeed suffers the most.…
