The Westing Game: A Short Story
I, Angela, aka the perfect beauty. I don't get how so many people have so many flaws. I could name tons for everyone. And you know what, I just might do that. In partners for The Westing Game.

Let's start off with my faker partner, Sydelle Pulaski. She literally faked a broken ankle for attention. I mean, oh my. Cause when that 2nd bomb went off the doctor said ¨It's a simple fracture¨ And if it was already broke it wouldn't be a ¨simple¨ fracture. You know what I mean?

Also how about my mom (Grace) and James Hoo. I have to like my mom Grace on the outside but on the inside my love for her is like a deep dark never ending hole. Next how about James Hoo, he is just plain old snotty. And his lips are like an upside down banana. The man is

Let's talk Doug first. Doug is well… fast but I also think with that speed comes with being very nosy. I think he knows like everyone's clues. Because he gets them then sprints off with that speedy quick running time. Now let's talk Theo. Theo has like no life. All he does is push around his brother in his stupid wheelchair. He's just, UMMM… the plain and simple boring. Yeah that's the word to describe him.

Then there is Chris and Dr.Denton Deere. Let's start off with Chris. Chris is well He's definitely different. Like he watches birds for Pete's sake. For 24/7 too. For example the text states ““Look up there, judge. Isn’t it b-beautiful?” “High in the fall sky a V of geese was flying south. Yes, it was a beautiful sight.”I mean haven't we all seen a flock of geese before?! Next Denton Deere. I like him but not love him, I'm being forced to marry him by my mother. He's just very strange. There's lots of unsaid things about him. Then we come down to Madame Hoo and Sandy. First Madame Hoo. I mean to start with she is from China and only knows a couple english words. But also she is alway wanting to go back to China. Like when the text states “staring out the window.” Like in that part she is just hoping and wishing she were there (in China). And then Sandy McSouthers. The plain simple doorman. He is very smart, but got fired from The Westing Paper Products Corporation, and by Sam himself. You know the “genius” that has caused this book. Yeah

In Richard Connell’s thrilling short story “The Most Dangerous Game”, an uneasy mood is constructed by Rainsford’s illusive adventure on Ship Trap Island. Many moments in the short story help build up a feeling of uneasy, one being when Winston uses a simile to describe the evil of the atmosphere, saying that the air “ was actually poisonous”, and that he felt a “mental chill, a sort of sudden dread” when the ship neared the island (Connell 1). The author makes the reader feel uneasy by making just the atmosphere itself seem evil and dangerous with the simile comparing the air to something that kills and is to be avoided. Readers also naturally pick up the feeling of dread from Whitney, which significantly helps in building…

This book is told from 3rd person limited, which is where the narrator tells “his” or “her” story and reveals the thoughts and emotions they have. This is done from many different perspectives, including Emily, Sam, Riddle, and Clarence, Sam and Riddle’s father. One of the main ways the point of view contributes to the story is that it helps drive the story forward. One example is when Sam and Riddle are separated from the Bells. The multiple points of view allows the story to continue on without leaving anyone out, and both conflicts are able to be followed smoothly and thoroughly. The 3rd person limited point of view is significant to the story because it allows us to have insight on many different character’s perspectives. This allows us to further deepen our understanding of the story and connect to the characters. As these perspectives weave together, other literary elements begin to…

For the Canterbury Tales project, I decided to create a board game. The board game is similar to snakes and ladders, the difference would be that I used different colors, whether or not the game piece should move forward or backwards. In the game, I also wrote down a series of questions based on the story. Questions, such as “who wrote Canterbury Tales?”, “What were the three men looking for?”. These series of questions should be answered by the player based on their understanding of the text. They should have a deep understanding of the text and be able to answer what is being asked. I set up the game where there would four colors. Red which would allow the player to move forward; purple move one step backwards, blue move two steps backwards,…

In the short story “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, a man named Sanger Rainsford faces a conflict which is being stranded on what he thinks is a deserted island. This island was totally uninhabited with the exception of one man who lives there, General Zaroff. General Zaroff loves to hunt, but he hunts more than just animals. You see, General Zaroff got tired of hunting just animals, he claims it was too easy for him since he was such an outstanding hunter. He wanted more of a challenge. Rainsford finds out that General Zaroff has hunted humans before, therefore making him a murderer. One critic has remarked, “Ironically, General Zaroff’s belief in his invincibility weakens him and causes his defeat.” I agree with this critic for many different reasons.…

First let me start with Lenny and Squiggy from Laverne and Shirley. I would classify them as the creepey type also weird and awkward. They were Laverne and Shirley's truck-driving, grease-ball neighbors who pestered them to death during their entire run. Look up "creep," and you'll most likely find a photo of these guys. They were the weirdto the enth degree. You can't help but shudder them when you hear them say "Hello" in their eerie nasal catch phrase voices. There really isnt much love here felt for them it's mostly just hate.…
