One can see by examining a situation in which your best friend is lying to you, that it is important for a teenager to remember to take this situation with a grain of salt, rather than letting it condemn them. Your best friend may be lying to you about where they were last night, simply because he/she went out with some friends, and did not want your company. This may feel like you are being stabbed in the heart, and you may momentarily hate your friend, but it is important to keep your cool and not overreact.
