The Roanoke Colony
I think what happened was that the indians came to where the colony was and that they took some of them and they killed the others. They were having a drought and i think the indians came to look for water and found them. So they ran into the colonist and killed many of them. They could of took the baby or some others too.

The only clue to their mysterious disappearance was the word “CROATOAN” carved into the palisade that had been built around the settlement. In 1587, Raleigh had sent somewherearound 100 colonists under John White. John White had returned to England to get more supplies, but because of the war with Spain he could not go the roanoke at the time. By the time he finally returned in August 1590, everyone had vanished.
